I'd say Rednecks but my people on my mother's side are from West Texas but my cousin married into a klan from Kentucky. Gotta keep 'em separated or we'd find out who's better. I'd still lay $500 on the 'necks.

Rednecks are a bigger group, and Bubba will kick your ass just as quick.

Both groups will give you the shirt off their backs if you need help; yuppies and most city folk believe your problem is...well...your problem, not theirs.

Nowadays the majority of trailer parks are illegals and other Latinos.
Hillbillies are living in areas near or in the Appalachians and the Ozarks, or the flatlands near the mountains.
Poor people of all kinds live in trailer parks as a rule, so anyone without the means to pay higher rent or a mortgage can be found living in trailer parks.
Stereotypes are a silly way to learn about who is who in this world, but that never stopped a lot of fools from doing it...trailer trash is a stereotype ...and TTs are found in condos, houses, apt complexes, and trailer parks.
More of a social class stereotype than an actual environment they live in.
Like Oilfield Trash (and proud of it) people...a stereotype embraced by a varied group of people...some are quite educated and wealthy, some aren't, but they embrace the term "Oilfield Trash"...

I'm not comfortable calling them trash but I did know a guy from the hills of Tennessee who told me while I lived in Texas, "You need to get you a trailer." My Redneck ex-con roommate called the cops on him once too.

Speaking from experience, I'd say, as a group, hillbillies are better. There are good and bad hillbillies. And there are good and bad rednecks. But you get to be a hillbilly pretty much just based on where you were born or grew up. While being a redneck is pretty much a lifestyle choice. There are rednecks in upstate New York. And there are (lots of!) rednecks down near the race track in Fontana. Being a redneck probably means that you embrace or are sort of proud of your ignorance - and you probably think it's cool to act stupid. The Italian version of the "redneck" is the guido (and the guidette). There is a definite link there. For some odd reason, both sub-species seem to have a fondness for IROC-Z Camaros and Trans Ams. Why? :dunno: Scientists are still looking into that.
