Recommend some good RPGs?

I have recent been burning alot of upwardly up time into City of Heroes lately, but I've been wanting a non-massively multi-player RPG.

I have Sony Playstation 3, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo Wii. My Sony Playstation Portable is dying to now.

I would like it to have a good story, and possibly some sort of online battle. Portable is a plus so I could play it.

Final Fantasy Crisis core for the PSP is supposed to be good. It's a continuation of the Final Fantasy 7 story, with the character "Zack" as the main protagonist

ALSO if you want to play a classic great game...chrono Trigger was recently released for the DS. And that is about as good as they come in terms of RPG's

A great RPG to play is Tales of Symphonia which is for the gamecube if you can find a copy, and also Tales of Symphonia 2 which was released for the Wii.

They made a sequel?

The Wild Arms games are good. Persona is good minus the dumb knockback crap.

Get Breath Of Fire 3. I think it's out on PSP, but know it's out on PS1. It's excellent, very old skool, but excellent.

Zack is my favorite character in any game, and I remember getting so mad when people said "why", back in 1998. I was like, fuck, you play as Zack throughout the whole game until Cloud finds his true personality. Zack is amazing.

Xbox 360 has some great RPGs, and some great classic styles too. Tales of Vesperia is really good, and of course Oblivion. Lost Odyssey is amazing for some real old school / next gen cross over, with a turn based battle system and the same for Blue Dragon!

Eternal Sonata wasn't bad for the 360 as well.

well you can get fallout 3 for the ps3 I don't if you consider that an rpg so I'm sorry if you don't

I'd personally say the Fallout series especially the admitadly old Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, Fallout 3 isn't too bad, although the ending is definately not up to the standards of the older ones :(.

Two things ruined Fallout 3 for me and made me not want to get it for myself. One was the DRM that they put into it and were deceptive about before the game came out. The maybe even bigger reason like you said was the ending (the one where you chose to go in yourself, which will probably be the canon one out of all of them unless they retcon the whole ending). There are just so many ways it sucks, and it has way too many holes with it on a logical level. The story, if you only count what happens until the ending, was pretty good in my opinion. The ending almost ruins everything else.

With regards to the ending of FO 3, from what they're mentioning they'll be completely changing it with the third DLC at least if you have the PC or 360 versions, sadly if you've got the PS3 version microsoft have purportidly made a deal with the devs to ensure that any DLC is only for either the PC or 360 aka Microsoft exclusive.
Hopefully they'll have paid attention to what's been said about the ending and with the 'new' one will be redoing it to something more befitting the Fallout series.

I loved fallout, Ive played through it twice and have finished every quest. For me it wasnt really about the main story and ending it was more about the game play and how much fun it was. Nothing beats one shoting a behemoth with the Mirv (8 atomic bombs at once!)

I'm actually more a fan of the fictional setting then games themselves though I do like the original Fallout. I just wish there was a way they could have both a shooter aspect and a RPG aspect in the newest one and have them be separate where you could just play whatever way you decided.

If you like the setting, specifically the idea of the time period...you might enjoy Bioshock. It's set around the same time, and as a lot of the art-deco style of the time. Plus it's an amazing game!!!
