Me too, but I've kinda reserved myself to that fact. I find leaving the comp on when I sleep, that way it downloads and uploads. You gotta remember that it uses other peoples' comps to download these and I believe that's why some take a long time. Sometimes, I'll choose a file that has a few seeders to make the DL faster and I'm using Azureus, which works a bit faster for me.

Depends how popular the file is. For example I usually download a 2 gig file in just a bit over 24 hours. But these are popular videos with lots of seeders and peers. ITs ok, just let it run, you can still surf porn in the meantime too. Or read a good book. I recommend The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by A. N. Roquelaire
