Problems Playing wmv files

Hi,

whenever a click a link with a wmv file the video skips and stutters, anyone no how to solve this issue?

the sound works perfectly and mpg videos work perfectly too.

its not an issue with windows media player as mpg files work fine on that.

Maybe they are in .avi form or maybe they are corrupted.
I suggest going to the divx website and dl the divx player.
When you do, it gives you the codecs to play .avi files on the windows media player.
I could be wrong though, so don't slap me if it does not work.

Simple, you might have a corrupt file. Try downloading the VLC media player on cnet.com and revisit those links.

You've either got a corrupt file or codec. Download VLC, or update your codec pack.

VLC Player is definately the way to go.

ive used VLC for a couple of years now but lately i've been enjoying the GOM player. hard to go wrong with either one, its just that the GOM player has a couple of more features they do better.

vlc does rule in one area though, codecs. vlc never met a codec it didnt like

I have my player set to auto-repeat and sometimes a clip will run choppy the first time through but then it'll be fine from the second on.

It might just have to fully load.

Download Cole2k codec pack. If that doesn't fix it the files you're trying to play are corrupt.
