There is a lot of prejudice in the world today, and many people in Europe think, that the Middle East suffers from most of this. However I believe, that the country suffering the most is USA!
To boil it down, a lot of people in Europe think that americans are ignorant, badly educated and overweigth. The country is run by christian fundamentalists teaching creationism in school, combined with an absurd belief that USA are the most democratic country in the world. (before any one jumps me, I have to say that I know it's not true).
Why do we get these ideas? Because our only insight in american society are based on crappy television shows, Bush's crusades around the world, and the odd news about Schwarzenegger getting elected

The prejudice is based on two factors. 1: exaggeration 2: A belief that things are better in Europe (they're not - guess the italian government during the Berlusconi period would have been rejected by the Jerry Springer Show for being to "far out").
I do have one little question to the americans on a subject that I haven't been able to find out: Do you really tell ******** that Santa Claus exist, or is it just another of Hollywoods wrong images of America?
