Pornstars & the music industry...

I was wondering if you could help me solve a rather silly question I have...

I've noticed that many pornstars who quit (or in some cases, haven't quit yet), are also active as Dj's, VJ's, etc.

A few examples are...

Felix Vicious who quit doing porn & is going to focus on her college and her carreer as a DJ
India, who's also a singer (besides being a worldfamous pornstar)
Nikki Belucci, who's also a DJ.

(there are probably many more possible examples)

Anyway, my question is, why do they choose for a music carrer and what attracts them to the music industry?
Also do you think that a previous or ongoing carreer in porn is going to damage their music carreer or not?

i know houston tried to cut an album. she tried to sing a Christina Aguilera song and was shown the door. no contract for her. i think it will be tough for a pornstar to do anything mainstream. even jenna still cant do legit movies. she might have cameos but thats all i know of.

i think Sky Lopez was trying to get into some kind of music career. I'd buy her album

I don't think there is any disproportional amount of pornstars who stop doing their job because think they can be in the music business. Same thing happens with actors, bus drivers, waitresses and everyone else in the general population who think music is their calling and try to pursue it (despite what everyone else thinks). They just happen to have more access and opportunity to pursue it.

Snoop Dogg and Lil Jon are the opposite. They may not "star" in their porn, but they are a "part" of it.
Snoop and Huster made a lot of money together.

Does anybody know any pornstar that are in bands or are solo musicians?
I love music and am a musician myself so to know that one of my favorite stars is a musician, that would be fuckin awsome. :thefinger

Like truly makes music, or just follows the old bullshit ideal of porn music: Either BOW CHIKKA WAH WAH or that group of monks chanting type nonsense? (I believe they were called Enigma)

actually, its much better than that stuff. i heard real guitars and shit. theres a trailer to something i saw with his music in the back and it was actually pretty good. ill find out and link it for you guys as soon as i can.
