Marilyn Chambers, a former Ivory Snow detergent model who became a porn star, died Sunday at her Canyon Country home, the Los Angeles Times reports. She was 56.

Most of the younger members here probably don't know who Marilyn Chambers is. But if you ever want to see a great porn movie starring a great porn actress, get Behind the Green Door, or one of my all time favorites, Insatiable.

I thought I had heard a long time ago, that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I wonder if it was true, and if had anything to due with this? I was never a huge fan of "Green door", but it does deserve the credit due to it, for being a front runner in bringing porn out of the shadows. I did like Up & Cumming, and Insatiable though, and loved her pictures in Club magazine back in the day.
