Just wondering what are your thoughts on porn down the years especially before the HD/internet era to now assuming that everyone watched porn during that time. I for one didn't really and i think my comments would be very retrospective with a outside looking in approach than those who actually lived and enjoyed watching during them periods.

Is there any instances where porn now is better than it was before, worse or if it's just comparing apples and oranges. Any good or bad points of the porn scenes in both eras, more specifically from the late 90's going to the early 10's where i kind of started to watch.


From my observation of watching a few Tina Cheri scenes, i kind of noticed a few things, and not sure if it was a trend in them days, or just the scenes i watched, but i felt alot of her scenes was short in length (like less than 10 minutes, or 20 minutes at a push if we lucky, alot of background music with not alot of dialogue and moaning.

For me personally, i like lengthy scenes 30 minutes plus is great, even if some of it is just buildup/foreplay and i want to hear the moans and grunts across the scenes. Some music is fine like at the start but not throughout.

Maybe people enjoyed them stuff during that time and had different tastes and attitudes and thought multiple short scenes on a dvd would be great, than a few lengthy ones.

The scenes were edited like a music album - spread out, perhaps loosely in order, only a few minutes of each, you know which ones got TLC.. and the scenes ended too soon, but the movies were too long.

I think my favorite series was Michael zen's (?) Stardust. It was like a soap opera, it had a story.. and yet.. i guess i could jerk off to it?

Sidenote: basically what anyone could say about game of thrones! (Until the final 2 seasons)

Myself happens to just yesterday to have gone through a lot of "old" Peter North scenes, MAN, that looks like some homemade super 8 movie, but I admit, I favor at least HD quality films and photos, and well, please don't make us watch and jump through 20 minutes of awkward and tacky interviews.

That might explain why scenes are too short and the transitions don't seem smooth.

I think there tends to be different versions. Like one is a dvd version and one like a online version as when i compare the two theres always some bits cut out

True story. A lot of the porn music in the 1970s and early 1980s was written and performed by none other than Lou Reed and his band (though he was never credited as the composer in many of the x-rated films)

I liked many of the films that Shaun Costello made. He was one of the best directors, producers and cinematographers around. Besides porn he also dabbled in the horror film genre.

Porn was in its golden age from about 2003 till 2018 or so. Early 2000s is when the internet made porn a lot cheaper and accessible. Now, instead of paying 30$ for a vhs tape that had maybe 5 or 6 scenes, for $30 a month you could basically turn your computer into your own entire porn store. 2018 is when social media and onlyfans started to dominate everything and ruin porn. Even in this "golden age" it had problems, and there were some things about the 80s and 90s that were better.

The availability is the main thing. Back in the day the VHS/magazines were shared and passed around.

Increased availability meant increased budget and I was all for the models looking better, landing strips and ladies that look like they looked after themselves in appearance.

I suppose cosmetic surgery changed things, initially it was OK but then models started to go too far maybe with the super enhanced boobs and ridiculous facial injections.

Yeah that's one reason i enjoy very high res pics. Not sure if anyone else does this but i enjoy viewing these pics on a laptop or tablet due to the bigger screen, rather than phone. While on the laptop i can enjoy a particular area more and zoom in as it projected nice and clear on a big screen without it being blurry.

You get see more haha. So can imagine why this pleases me for certain pics haha. You can do same on phone but doesn't do the same justice.

I think there are some image hosts that not only help reduce it but can store at it's orginal size but give you different size version's.

I do like the higher the better versions. Not sure on the sites that do offer very ultra high pictures.
