Ok, first of all, is there any need to use a taser on a 10 year old girl? I mean, seriously, is there? Ok, maybe if she had a gun or a knife, but nowhere in this story did I see such evidence. Sure, the mother gave the officer permission to use the taser, but that doesn't mean that it was warranted. But, putting all of that aside for a moment, can we talk about something here that, I'm quite sure, a lot of people didn't notice? Ok...



This woman should be fined for calling the police for such a STUPID fucking reason; wasting a police officers time and taxpayers' money. Seriously, this fucking bitch called the police because her daughter, who is 10 years old by the way, was refusing to take a shower...??? Are you fucking serious?

I'm tired of people calling for help due to the most insignificantly, easily solvable "problems" and actually getting away with it!!! We need to start punishing these morons who abuse our system of public safety. Shit, I'm surprised this idiotic mother didn't call 9-1-1 when her newborn puppy took a poop on the kitchen rug. Fuck.

If you read the article the cop WAS NOT suspended for the use of the Taser on the 10yr old, but rather for not having the video camera attachment on the Taser at the time of use......that's apparently a violation of his dept's Taser usage policy.

A 10 day rip for that?!?!?!

And as for the parent, just ask any cop anywhere on how many parents call the police wanting them to "make their kids listen". The responses to that question is both alarming & sad.

Depending on what kind of emotional problems she had, a tasing may be what she needed. Even children can be a handful when they are in a rage or suffer from some type of mental issues. It is easy to judge the cop when you don't have the full story.

A police officer who used a Taser stun gun to subdue a 10-year-old girl in her own home has been suspended, not for using the weapon but for not having a video camera attached when he used it.

He wasn't suspended for using the weapon.

You know because you have to use a deadly weapon on small children.

Tazers need to be taken away from the police.

Eventually this is going to backfire on them and people aren't going to take police brutality any more.
I hope it is sooner than later.

All very strange. I wonder why the police got involved anyway , it wasn't a criminal or public order matter that a girl wouldn't have a shower.
Without actually witnessing the event it's difficult to judge things. A 10 year old is only a child but is perfectly capable of seriously hurting someone (who would normally try to avoid undue force on a child) or themself.The taser might have been the prompt action necessary to avoid this.Had she picked up a knife or something?

If they are having problems there are other people to call than the police.
