Playmates and Hardcore: Why don't most do porn?

Why don't more Playboy Playmates go hardcore? You know some want to, and they could make a shit load of cash...is it a contract they have to sign? Do they get banned from anything and everything Playboy? How does that shriveled prune keep them under such tight wraps?

Re: Playmates and Hardcore

Probably a number of reasons. First, there is a BIG difference between posing naked and having sex on camera. Second, they might not be comfortable with crossing that threshhold. Third, the pay in the porn industry isn't all that great as a whole....so maybe it's not worth it to "sell out". I mean, let's be real for a minute.....does anyone REALLY think anyone gets into porn because they actually want to? Ha ha ha! So, maybe they made enough money from Playboy and many are ready to simply move on with their lives & use the other skills that they might possess to enter mainstream society....which would be pretty damn hard IMHO if they crossed that line between modeling and hardcore. :2 cents:

Re: Playmates and Hardcore

I don't know for sure if this is true, but a few years back, I read that all playmates have it in their contracts not to do porn, or have to wait X number of years after their spread(s). Supposedly, Hugh Hefner was extremely pissed when Teri Weigle jumped into porn not long after her playmate spread.

I think they have to sing contracts where they lose the ability to call themselves "Playmates" if they go into certain harder aspects of the industry, among probably other things I would imagine were put in place especially since Teri Weigel went hardcore. Also they might become persona non grata with most of the companies aspects, like parties, events, and other things. Considering they do benefit and make money on some of those things it matters. It might not be as big of a threat as it used to be years ago, because Playboy has fallen downhill in recent years, but it still not some trivial thing.

I could also add to what everybody else is saying what must be keep in mind along with the other tings mentions is that Playboy is even softer than most non-hardcore adult modeling things these days. Plus it's been around a lot longer and has way more name recognition than almost anything else and has sort of a classy image and a long tradition. That combined means they can get a lot of women to be their official "Playmates" that would never even remotely consider anything else, especially anything harder. That also means that most of the women in Playboy don't face nearly the stigma from appearing in it that sometimes even normal non-hardcore adult models do let along somebody that goes into hardcore porn. Playboy is pretty much the only thing where even some celebrities will be willing to do it.

What also needs to be kept in mind Playboy probably pays their models pretty good for what they do, and it's also a choice between getting paid really well and getting good value on the dollar for the model's work for doing some soft things that will probably not effect the other aspects of their lives or having skanky guys they wouldn't want to touch with a ten foot pole screw them for less money on camera so everybody can watch and they can have that stigma the rest of their lives. When you take into account that the vast majority of women and the vast majority of even models don't want to do that, combine it with the contractual effects from Playboy if a Playmate decides to go in that direction, and combine it will all the negative aspects that can come about should it be any wonder why so many Playmates don't want to go hardcore.

What should be said in addition to that is often people that are fans of porn just see the women as something to jerk off to forget that most people in the world don't like screwing other people for money and having others watch them. There is only a small handful of people, a very small percentage, that are really cut out for that kind of stuff. Playboy has even a higher percentage of people that aren't cut out for the harder stuff because of who they are and how they operate. It's good that most of the Playmates are smart enough to recognize that.
