This interesting surname derives from two possible origins. Firstly it may be an English occupational name for a seller of dairy products, from the Old French and Medieval English "creme", cream from the late Latin "crama". Seems like the media,i.e. ESPN, love to latch onto a certain athlete and either ride them to glory,or into the ground.
I also heard that her dad pushes her really hard,so maybe he has something to do with the hype machine as well.
