Today in the small town of Mullberry, Florida pastor Terry Jones plans to burn one copy of the Quran for every American who died on September 11, 2001. He has been denied a permit for his demonstration but says he plans to do it anyway. Mullberry is in Polk county which is an EXTREME right wing religious county and is where the woman was arrested for doing a solo webcam show in her home. The Sheriff there is Grady Judd who is a bible thumping anti-porn redneck but even he doesn't want this to happen.
As well as the community being against this, a person in the cabinet of military strategy in Afghanistan which is located in Tampa at McDill air force base, has asked him not to do this in the name of national security but he says he's doing it anyway. "Protesters of our 9/11 event, are people who are ignorant and uninformed of the devastating effect that Islam has had upon our world in the last 1400 years. Islam has a very clear history of oppressive human rights, violations against women, murder and rape of minorities as well as anyone who dares to speak out against Islam and its perverted leader Mohammed. Any intelligent person, after a short study of Islam, would not be involved in a protest, instead they would come, stand with us and speak out against the horrors of Islam." He said in a quote to a local news station.
And Mike Ghouse, president of the Dallas-based Muslim World Congress, initiated plans to relocate his annual Sept. 11 commemorative ceremony to Mulberry. It begins at 8:46 a.m. today at the Mulberry Civic Center, recognizing the moment when the first plane hit the World Trade Center in New York City.

thought you might like to read this. it's getting a lot of local press but didn't know if it was getting coverage outside of the area.
Amazing all the things he says Islam is guilty of, his religion is guilty of also.
