Thoughts thus far?

I'm really enjoying the Notification Center like on my iPhone and iPad. I can't wait for iCloud tabs for Safari in iOS 6 but that's still a few months off. I'm hoping for better mobile iCloud file management though, that's my only complaint thus far.

Anyone finding any of the less hyped features useful that others maybe should check out?

Please don't turn this into an Apple vs PC argument.

If I don't start an argument can I just insult Apple? LoL, but seriously I came across this thread as itunes was, as usual, being non compatible with everything. I'll vent somewhere else:brick:

Haha, well not all technology is perfect, I've had my share of problems with iTunes. However, I want to know what other users are finding productive and functional with the latest update.

An Apple a day keeps Android away ;)

It sounds really interesting. But I haven't tried it yet - I haven't had time to do a full back-up, plus I'll probably wait a few weeks for any major bugs to get worked out. From what I know thus far, the feature that interests me most is AirPlay Mirroring. But it seems like there are loads of new features.

Thus far the only bug I've run into was my speakers wouldn't work. I restarted and that resolved the issue. I don't have much experience with AirPlay but I've been reading more about it and I'm trying to figure out ways I could apply it to my life. I'm mostly wanting iCloud to be a bit more universally supported so I can get rid of my Dropbox.

Speakers wouldn't work until you did a restart? What sort of Mac (MacBook, Mac Pro or iMac) are you running and about how old is it? I read something about certain older machines coming off Leopard experiencing some issues. Another reason that I'll probably wait to upgrade is that I haven't had my iMac for a year yet. And since I came from the "wonderful world of Winders", I'm really just now getting used to the Mac OS. I did download the newest update to Parallels Desktop 7 to make myself ready for Mountain Lion though.

Easier, faster, safer storage and backup solutions are interesting to me. I bought a 2TB Time Capsule that I'm still not using like I should. For some reason it causes issues with my wireless network. And I've been too lazy to figure it out. I'm (very) slowly warming up to the idea of cloud storage solutions, but I'm not quite there yet. But I realize that the cloud is the way forward.

Say, I see that you're an Approved Content Owner. Just for fun, I'd love to learn more about video editing. Do you use your Mac for editing your videos, etc.?

I have used some osx tiger and osx lion in the past, good for people working in the multimedia but not for IT people and the all apple thing is niet and niet for me. I will stick to windows 7 enterprise, windows server 2008 rc2 and windows xp pro service pack 3 whick works great despite its age.
