i have there greatest hits cd,i got it about 9 years ago and the lyrics are different.they don't say faggot in the version i have but when i hear it on the radio they usually play the version with faggot in it....this songs been around since mtv first started and after all these years they want to edit it for radio.the song is older than me

In the move "Midnight Cowboy" both Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman's characters use the terms "fag" and "fagot" liberally. I guess Midnight Cowboy's days are numbered. The bright side to this story is that more than a few Canadian stations have played the song in protest to the decision.

Odd to read you come to the conclusion that I think movies are real. Of course movies are real, they aren't figments of peoples imaginations!! What you really meant to say was that I think the characters, narratives & situations in fictional movies are actually real events.
