Hopefully the dementia made his last years a living hell and he was aware of it.
This is the problem with appeals. What could have been another open slot for the death penalty it was taken up and abused by the series of appeals for an otherwise known killer on death row.
I mean at that age they might as well let him go and put his ass in a neglectful nursing home. In prison he was probably well off considering all the benefits he received with each passing year.
