Obama visits Normandy & Buchenwald - rebukes Ahmadinejad's holocaust denial

I hate to admit this, but I like the way he said that. :hatsoff:

So now we just need the likes of Michelle Malkin to review his statements to make sure Obama uttered the precise words and phrases to meet her approval.

Don't mean to hijack but I just love how the likes of Michelle Malkin get to parse for her approval the statements of a man with 2 Ivy League degrees who's ascended to State Sen., US Senate and POTUS. If I'm Obama I'd be laughing at these sideliners who've accomplished nothing more in life than to rabble rouse a bunch of sheeple.

Back to the point...kudos on the speeches.

Yeah, you have to give credit. But I didn't anything about him specifically calling out I'madinnerjacket. Maybe it was a subtle nudge but I don't think he'll pay any attention to it.

Ahmadinefuck couldn't give a rat's ass less what Obama says. To him, Obama is just another infidel from Amrika.

Well I think that would have been poor judgement for him to name Ahmadinejad because this isn't about Ahmadinejad. It would have been a mistake to inadvertantly allow Ahmadinejad to dominate the events when the events were about heroes and bigger things than that guy.:2 cents:

That's kind of been the theme with all of the people who hated us while W was president, and are the same now that Obama is- Kim-Jong Il, Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, Achmedenijad (Or however you spell it), and the hits just keep on comin!

But I will give credit where it is due- I can't stand this president, but this was well-stated, and very well done.

Points to Obama. :hatsoff:

The same way you turned a genuine compliment to Obama into a whiny rant about Michelle Malkin?

"Hook, line and sinker"!
My point exactly. The same way Malkin turned two tragic events into a "whiny rant" about Obama.

Hopefully a light bulb illuminated in your little thought bubble.

You are nowhere near subtle or hard to understand...your constant lack of honesty in what you post is not hard to see, and this is another case of the same.
Michelle posts well thought out opinions, and in the free discourse of ideas she should.
Her take was a legitimate critique on the different tone of the Prez's comments, and the different treatment.

Too bad you didn't read her comments...

This thread was a complimentary group of appreciative comments on his words...a good thing, and your interjecting some whine about Michelle has no place in the thread...a fact you of course haven't the intellectual honesty to admit.
Your snide little comments about my "thought bubble" and the like show clearly how stressed you are, getting called out for the useless BS you must post.
Live with it...

:crying: "Feeling a little marginalized" there "Philby"? Or just little?

Cite one lie I've posted here...I triple dare you.

I don't like anything about Obama, especially his governing policies.
However, he represented America skillfully at these two places.
For me, Ronald Reagan, is my ultimate presedential hero.

That's a point which his detractors can't seem to grasp-in a few months Obama has transformed the way the US is viewed by others around the globe. He has significantly raised the status of his nation and the difference is palpable.

You have to understand there are some here in the US who see no currency in such an accomplishment. In fact, many seem to views such a tact with disdain (for some reason).

They huddle around some myth that he's running around the world "apologizing" when to my knowledge the man hasn't mentioned the word.

This quote is what they see as Obama apologizing for America;

"In America there is a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times when America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive. But in Europe there is an anti-Americanism that is at once casual but can also be insidious."

Doesn't matter if the word "apologize" or "sorry" was never uttered, if Rush or Fox says he's apologizing for America it must be so.

Yes.

President Obama inherited a basketcase economy, a shambolic failure in foreign policy, three unwinnable wars - from his predecessor.

I think this President will be good for the USA and for the world.

He has earned the respect of us here in Europe.

For socialist european governments, he seems to be the "godsaver" of America but he will not be America's godsaver. He earned a lot respect from socialist european leaders but certainly not much respect from the right wing. Some right wing leaders are playing nice with him but that doesn't mean they like him or approve his decisions. The Obama administration remains me a lot of the Clinton administration, but there is one thing to know which is when one makes too much unrealistic promises and that he is unable to full fill them, people won't miss him and will get their revenge on him. Often for politicians being realistic is just impossible so they gave empyrical data or statitcis taht are mostly bs and that doesn't reflect the reality.

It's the rightwing fundamentalists in the USA who have brought the economic/foreign policies disasters of the past 8 years.

America will become stronger under Obama.

As a European, I do not welcome America becoming more powerful.
But I recognise that Obama will make America stronger

Oh really because Clinton made things so great too?
Kissing Arab's nation asses and kissing the UN's ass is not going to save the USA. You must be really naive if you think that Obama will improve things over the long run. The only president who gave USA a good reputation and a stronger economic situation was Reagan where there were high salaries and a real economic growth. Obama wants to implement a social system which is completely useless and that will not work over the long run.
