Obama Set Free 17 more Islamic Terrorists

Former Guantanamo detainee, Ibrahim Qosi, who is also known as Sheikh Khubayb al Sudani, is now an al-Qaeda leader in Yemen.

Earlier this week Stephen Hayes from The Weekly Standard broked down Obama’s shocking Gitmo lie. Of the653 jihadist detainees who have been released, 196 have gone back to terror or are suspected of being active in the jihad since their release.

Now this…The Obama White House announced today they will release another 17 Gitmo detainees in January.
The New York Times reported:

The Obama administration appears to be on the cusp of the largest round of transfers of Guantánamo Bay detainees in a single month since 2007, a move that could reduce the detainee population there to as low as 90 by mid- to late January, according to officials familiar with internal deliberations.

Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter has notified Congress in recent days that he has approved 17 proposed transfers of lower-level detainees, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss matters that have not yet been made public. Congress has required Mr. Carter to certify that security standards have been met at least 30 days before any transfers.

President Obama wants to close the Guantánamo prison in Cuba before he leaves office in a little over a year. His administration has stepped up efforts to find countries to take 48 detainees on a transfer list and moved to speed up the work of a parole-like board that might approve the release of others who are currently recommended for indefinite detention.

lol As if exactly this sort of thing never happened when Bush was president.

Of the 520 Gitmo detainees he released before leaving office no doubt a goodly number ended up back on the battlefield.

A primary example would be Ibrahim al-Rubaysh, who was released in 2006 and placed in a Saudi Arabian rehabilitation camp, but escaped and returned to the fight, serving as major Al Qaeda leader in the Arabian Peninsula.

Our solution to such errors? Well, in al-Rubaysh's case he was vaporized by a drone strike ordered by Obama on April 12, 2015

Do you actually know how the details of the release process, Georges?

Stop with the GWB shit. Nobody likes him either. If that is your metric for Obama then you have my pity. At least Bush never released 5 terrorists for a traitor.

Georges liked him.
I will always prefer GWB to Obama and to that sob of Clinton. He truely backed up his military unlike Nobama who is more concerned to welcome Syrian refugees and freeding Al Quaeda trash motherfuckers than caring of the safety of his own country and caring of the US Army, Air Force, Navy and USMC Vietnam, Afghanistan and Irak wars veterans who are many to be unemployed and have no shelter.

If you think the release of Gitmo detainees and veteran issues (including homelessness) started with Obama you are sorely mistaken, Georges.

Bush released over 500 in his time as president.

Perhaps you're also unaware that in the early phase of the Iraq war the Bush administration sent a great many of our soldiers off to fight in Iraq with either no body armor or inadequate body armor.

From The Associated Press 3/28/2004

Soldiers headed for Iraq are still buying their own body armor — and in many cases, their families are buying it for them — despite assurances from the military that the gear will be in hand before they're in harm's way.

Body armor distributors have received steady inquiries from soldiers and families about purchasing the gear, which can cost several thousand dollars. Though the military has advised them not to rely on third-party suppliers, many soldiers say they want it before they deploy.

Last October, it was reported that nearly one-quarter of American troops serving in Iraq did not have ceramic plated body armor, which can stop bullets fired from assault rifles and shrapnel.

The military says the shortfall is over and soldiers who do not yet have the armor soon will. But many want to avoid the risk.
