NYPD crash OWS party

Your freedom ends where my property begins.
Is that the new slogan for the kidnapper's apprentice school? Besides, very fitting that Zuccotti Park was once called Liberty Plaza Park before the government decided to sell it.

So, when countries like China or Russia bludgeon freely speaking civil opposition, it's evil, but when the US does it after a not much longer period of patience, it's ok? That's capitalistic authoritarianism at its best.

The city of New York did this. Not the US government. I guess Obama could have lobbied the Justice Department to exercise Eminent Domain and turned it into the NYC version of Haight/Asbury or let them stay until they had squatter's rights.

It's private property nonetheless, and if it had been mine, I would have brought in more assets to remove them a lot quicker than the current owners did. Good riddance.

That's what I meant by government. The city government. I don't know exactly how you call that in New York. New York city council? You know what I mean.

Out of curiosity, who privately owns the park?

I believe you already know the answer. A company like most companies that have people working there that want to turn a profit and feed their families and enjoy life. Some of the employees have a financial interest in the company. The park was named after their chairman John Zuccotti. You have a problem with that?

I got a friend in NYC who is big on this OWS nonsense. His response to the police finally doing their job? "Come on OWS, show them what you're made of!"

I think they're made of a hard, moronic outer shell with a creamed sissy center. Fuck 'em.

November 14, 2011: "Government is great! We need more government to regulate corporations and tax the wealthy and offer debt relief! Up with government!"

November 15, 2011: "Government is evil! It suppresses our right to free speech and public assembly and corporate reform! Down with government!"

To be fair, though, the Republicans do the same thing: "Reduce government spending! Keep government out of my life! Unless, of course, you're talking about regulating pornography, homosexuality, marijuana, or offering corporate/farm subsidies. Then it's not so bad..."

No one stopped them from protesting there. They simply told them that they could not camp out there anymore.

Keyword here is "told". Just like in China. They also just politely talk to people.

It's about time...the cops should have loaded these piss smelling mongrels into an MTA bus and drove it into the East River.

Now families with their children can come and sight see the WTC and lower Manhattan w/o being heckled and scared off by these foul smelling, lazy Hippie scumfucks!

lmao....pepper sprayed this 84-year old worthless hippy

yea, Corporations!
"A downtown march and rally in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement turned briefly chaotic as police scattered a crowd of rowdy protesters — including a pregnant 19-year-old and an 84-year-old activist — with blasts of pepper spray."

...

"The Occupy Seattle movement released a written statement late Tuesday expressing support for "a 4-foot 10-inch, 84-year-old woman, a priest and a pregnant woman who as of this writing is still in the hospital."

...

"Paramedics examined a handful of people, including a 19-year-old woman who was three-months pregnant, Seattle fire department spokesman Kyle Moore said. The Seattle Times reported on its website that the woman was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center."

Was the woman wearing a sign that reads "I am pregnant. Please do not enforce the law because I am special?" Then how the fuck is she going to participate in an illegal activity and not expect to get the same treatment as the other hippies? The 84 year-old getting hosed down is a bit different, though. That seems like using an anvil as a fly-swatter. Overkill.
