NYC Man accused of pushing Asian woman to death in subway has multi-decade rap sheet, police say

Racist fuck should have still been in a cage. If that was my wife I'd want to cut his head off.

Well buddy, from what I read, you better get ready to be a lot more pissed off, because I can safely say, he's getting a little slap on the wrist, a lecture, and a short sentence with parole. He would serve more time if they caught him with a kilo of blow. There will be no claims of racism, a hate crime, or anything else of that nature. The only way this pig will ever see justice, is if it's revenge by a loved one, or someone realizes who he is someday in the subway, and Karma pays a visit.

You'd think a hate crime where a man pushed a woman to her death would be more heavily reported. The mainstream media loved these racist Asian attacks while they were trying to pin it on White Supremacy, didn't they? I had to show my wife, who is Asian, videos of attacks and mugshots of attackers so she didn't think her husband's race was preying upon hers.

He can't be racist, or commit a hate crime, he isn't a white man.

I always thought murder was a hate crime by definition.

Subway platforms in Japan & South Korea have "suicide barriers" which only open with the train doors. They could ostensibly be used to prevent murders like this, but that would also require subway drivers to be able to stop with pinpoint accuracy so that the barriers line up with the doors. Probably not something that's going to happen overnight, but if this sort of thing becomes more common, there could be a push to see it implemented in other places.

Nice idea ...

When I was commuting in the City to go to work, NYC had four subway stations that were revitalized with the Canal Street station being the biggest improvement. New walled tiles, new concrete floors, etc. This was before 9/11. The Chambers Street Station by the World Trade Center has since being fixed up too. But to put these barriers in every subway station in NYC = The cost will be several billions of dollars.

... not going to happen. Not in NYC anyway. They can't even get the subway cars to line up to the platform. Some stations have severe gaps between the platform and the cars. Especially near the back of the train. People have to literally jump to get onto the subway.

As for the tone in here. This thread. With the exception of @gmase's post # 7 (did Steven Zajonc dye his hair?) - seems to be that these Black men hate all Asians. That's my take on it so far.
