I watch a lot of behind-the-scenes content from porno productions. In these videos, usually a camera-holding interviewer asks questions from a semi or fully naked pornstar - who has often done barely 2 to 4 scenes. In these interviews, many novice pornstars give an impression that (i) they are in it for a short time for quick money and/or (ii) they are somewhat sure that no one from their family or that they know would ever see their pornographic work.
My questions to those who know the industry are following:
1. Am I right in my analysis?
2. If yes, what happens if such a pornstar gets more popular than expectations and gets noticed by family and friends, if they don't watch her work, via mainstream media who often feature pornstars in their productions and news?
Social aspects of pornography extremely fascinates me. Any input from OCSM's will be highly appreciated.
