Tomorrow, the Nobel Committee in Oslo will announce this year's winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, in the year 1 after Barack Obama :1orglaugh

Most of them are completely unknown to me. From the list I'd choose the (Grand-)Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo - silly liberal me. :o

I'm guessing the big O will win again... Has there ever been a repeat winner? Gotta put Him on a pedastal above all others, after all.

saw a bit about a Southern cheerleader who was kicked off the squad (In Texas, I think) for refusing to cheer just for the player who had raped her (& pled guilty to a lesser charge)... She didn't act out, just refused to cheer for him, & the school kicked her off of the team and the courts upheld the decision... aside from demonstrating how COMPLETELY morally bankrupt our schools and courts have become (& without asking who is populating them by and large), her willingness to cheer for the rest of the team, and to NOT argue her assailant's participation without capitulating to administrator's pressure, I'd say SHE deserves the Nobel Peace prize.
