NFL reinstates Ricky Williams

Williams is a joke. First, he's a shell of his former self as an elite NFL running back. How many RBs can take 2 years off at age 30 and expect to make a comeback?? Not many, that's for sure.

Secondly, how long before he decides to take a few bong hits again and fails yet another drug test. And I am not arguing the legitimacy of the NFL rule here....it's the fucking rule and he knew it so I don't have a lot of sympathy for him. This guy had the world on a string at one time and now look at him. What a waste.

The interesting thing is.....the Dolphins really need a running back right now so my guess is they will probably give him a serious look. We'll see.

The Fish should trade him to New Orleans. The Saints could use someone to relive the pressure from Bush/Brees...assuming, of course, Ricky has something left in the tank.

Besides..America loves it when her prodigal sons return home...

When he was in the NFL, what little I knew about him I was not overly impressed with. And his 60 minutes interview made him seem a little out of touch.

But during his time in the CFL he did ALLOT of interviews. And I found him very refreshing.

He seemed to have football in great perspective and he seemed a decent sort.

That doesn't mean he is a decent sort.

But, from what little I know of him, I like. I hope he gets out of the NFL what he needs to get out of it.

This might be good news for Williams. I think he still has a large portion of a signing bonus he needs to pay back from when he quit.
