New black panther leader with ‘kill whitey’ face tattoo busted on gun charge

As Jules Winnfield would say....

A New Black Panther Party leader with the words “kill whitey” tattooed on his face has been busted for allegedly carrying a loaded and unlicensed gun, according to the New York Post.

Maruse Heath, also known as “King Salim Shabazz,” the head of the New Black Panther Party Philadelphia chapter, was arrested in New York City Thursday night after police spotted him allegedly wearing a large ballistic vest. Officers then allegedly found the .25-caliber gun.

Heath, 41, had been leaving a New Black Panther Party planning meeting, the Post reported. A source told the newspaper his first phone call in custody was to New Black Panther Party national leader Malik Zulu Shabazz.

Heath was the New Black Panther Party member wearing a paramilitary uniform and carrying a baton in the infamous 2008 election video shot in front of a Philadelphia polling place.

During Heath’s arraignment Friday, his attorney argued that police “jumped” him without justification as he was leaving the meeting.

“It is no crime to belong to the Black Panther Party,” attorney Brad Foster said, according to the newspaper. He added that the New Black Panthers do “charity work within the local community, outreach to the homeless, and works with at-risk youth who are at risk of becoming criminals.”

But the prosecutor said Heath was stopped because he was wearing a large, obvious ballistic vest.

“He was stopped, and a loaded handgun was taken from his pocket,” prosecutor Christopher Ryan said.

Heath faces a minimum three-and-a-half-year sentence if convicted of possessing the gun. He’s due back in court June 26 to find out if he’ll face charges of gun possession and illegally wearing body armor, the Post reported. He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Maybe he was a 1980's St. Louis Cardinals fan and had the tat done during a bad losing streak.

All unconstitutional charges.

You can own and carry a weapon and wear armor.

No. There are state laws that require you to have a permit to carry a weapon. That was decided on by the law makers of this nation. It's constitutional.

Do you wish he killed a bunch of people so he could prove a point for you?

Will, I often give you a lot of credit because at least you're consistent. Right or wrong, you're pretty consistent. While ol' rootin', tootin', shootin' Yosemite Sammy has to figure out if the guy is Black or White before he decides how he feels about a gun charge, you just don't agree with any gun charges like this, no matter what. Reppin' you for that, my lil cup cake killer. :D

Actually, since they came out with search engines, you should first make an effort to actually know what you are declaring to be so...isn't.

Most states (probably the majority) require a permit if you wish to Conceal Carry; many require no permit to open carry . Nevada Casinos allow holstered handguns at the tables, from what I hear. Definitely in the casinos is allowed.
It is a STATES RIGHTS issue, nothing to do with the Federal government and the US Constitution. Even if you meant the state's individual constitutions you're wrong.

Well, you're kinda right. An establishment can post a sign requesting individuals to leave their weapons behind. Caesar's does this and several other places do, as well. At the Horseshoe, we'd ask people, nicely, to put their weapons back in the trunk of their car or take it home.

It's either freedom for all or none. In that case it would break down into civil war.

I don't agree with the gun charge or the body armor charge.

Maybe it is not the 60's anymore, but as usual as I can tell from your judgement it is better to see a clearly and well established anti white racist and criminal hanging out on the streets than being locked for life or dead.
