I thought "Dude Movie" was self-explanatory, even here. It's the opposite of a chick flick.

See I would think a dude movie is something similar to a chick flick but about dudes and their friendship, like The Hangover for example. But the opposite of a chick flick to me is full on action, sci-fi or horror.....so which one is it?

Fave dude movie? Fried Green Tomatoes. Totally. Or perhaps The First Wives Club. Yeah, for sure.

But seriously, RoboCop. And, yes, I mean the original, utterly fantastic, 1987 version -- not the useless remake from a few years ago.

Or maybe Brian De Palma's The Untouchables. I watched it again recently and was reminded of how superlative it truly is. Probably the best film of De Palma's career. Yes, even better than Scarface, which I've always found to be a tad long; and many of Giorgio Moroder's synth-heavy musical compositions for the film have not aged particularly well.
