JERSEY CITY, N.J. - St. Peter's College locked down its campus Wednesday after receiving e-mails saying bombs were planted in campus buildings, authorities said.
Fire Chief William Sinnott said the action was taken as a precaution after the school received e-mails from one or more "disgruntled" students. Authorities said they were taking the threat seriously, especially coming so soon after a gunman ****** five students and himself at Northern Illinois University last week.
"Right now we're going building by building. We're doing the outside, the inside," police Lt. Edgar Martinez told WABC-TV in New York. "We take it very seriously because of everything that has happened nationally.
