...there are under 6.5 million Israeli's. Of these, just under 5 million are Jewish.
Currently, America gives 3 billion per year to Israel - mostly in free military equipment. And they have been for years. And this does not include many billions more in loan guarantees. This despite the fact that Israel's income per capita is $26,800 (again, according to the CIA World Fact Book for 2006). That is almost as much as Spain's and is 3 times more then say, Turkey's is. It is also, BTW, over 16 times greater then the Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Since 1973; Israel has been given $240 billion dollars by the United States.
Also, because Egypt and Jordan signed peace agreements with Israel, America has given them $117 and $22 Billion respectively. And continues to give Egypt about $1.3 billion in military aid per year.
And all this is doing is ******* off the Arab World and helping Israel to treat the Palestinians like Americans used to treat Native Americans - extremely badly. And what happened way back when they did this? The natives got pissed and fought back. And what has happened with the Palestinians? They have gotten pissed and have fought back. Not rightly, but understandably; at least to me.
And I for one am sick of this tiny fraction of the World's population causing SO MUCH misery. It should end. And America can do it.
All they have to do is stop giving Israel and Egypt weapons. Now this would eventually severely weaken Israel's military. This would bring on one of two things (I think):
1) Israel could stay rather belligerent to it's neighbours and particularly, the Palestinians. Which might eventually result in a war that they would be eventually outgunned on (conventionally anyway).
or 2) They could stop being so touchy and try far harder to make peace with their neighbours and the Palestinians.
Now just in case the former happened; or was threatening to happen; America should offer free unconditional citizenship to every Israeli that wanted it (about 5 million if every one took up the offer). They have propped up Israel for so long - it is the least they could do.
As mentioned above, Israeli's are not poor people. So they would not be a huge economic drain on the US. They are used to a democratic country. Many of them speak English. And there is a very large Jewish community in America that would surely assist there inclusion into American society.
Also, instead of giving that $4+ Billion dollars per year to Israel and Egypt for weapons. That money could go instead directly to the newly arrived Israeli Americans as aid money to help those that needed it to get started.
If they did this for 5 years that would mean they would give each and every emigrating Israeli to America an immigration help of $4,000 per person ($4 billion times 5 years divided by 5 million Jewish Israeli's).
And the Jewish/Palestinian mess would be over.
Now, the Israeli's would no doubt be none too pleased that they lost their 'land'. But frankly, I really don't care that much. It's just dirt. What should be important to you is you and your families survival and safety. And not whether you are on a certain hunk of grass.
And if it means that much to you, then stay in Israel and get ****** by all the Palestinians and Arabs your people have (whether your fault or not) pissed off over the last 60 years or so.
Or even - try and make peace with them. Fear is a great motivator.
I assume most of you will disagree with me. And that is fine (and nothing new - lol).
But I just wanted to give my idea an airing.
