That sucks. I remember when an acquaintance of mine was shot in the head at the age of thirteen. I heard the news and immediately thought of the little bit of time we spent together. Next thing I know I felt a sensation of disbelief only because we shared a few moments together; such as how you explained how you two would meet up to watch some football. Thing is he might have been a neighbour but in the end he was somebody you had a connection to no matter how big or small. Acquaintance/friend, whatever, in the end it is hard to see it hit you so close. It doesn't matter for death is hard no matter how big or small it is.
The fact that all you two seemingly did was share some football games together and you respected him enough to post this goes to show he is a guy to be remembered, even though you only knew him. FreeOnes didn't know him, however you did and took time to post a remembrance about him.
