My ****** and her POS husband...

Do you know what happens when I get angry, slut? A few weeks ago, I was in Haiti on vacation. I went out to a bar and had a few drinks. I was ordering quite a few that night because they were on special. Well, when the bar tab came, the waiter refused to give me the special price because he said it ended at midnight. We argued for awhile, and I became very angry. I ended up throwing him through a wall and into another building. After that, everything started shaking. I think you know the rest...

Bitch please! Everybody knows that was just my cock hitting the earth!

Don't ride on my cocktails! Nothing but a fucking roadie, you are!

What do you call 10,000 Lawyers at the bottom of the Ocean? A good start...:D
"Sisters" can be substituted for "Lawyers"...I won't go into why I am feeling antipathy towards my younger ****** right now...and her husband.

It does seem that, as you don't wanna put your *** in the position of having a "responsible" person take over her affairs due to her incompetence, whatever the terminology is...and without showing she isn't capable of handling her affairs...you can't get the POS hubby and Sis for taking advantage of an old person. She chose to give her ***** some money...not uncommon.

Of course I cannot control this situation, and my ****** knows I will not take legal action against her even if I could.

But she convinced my ****** because she told her that she would not have to pay the money back, that the ******** would.

Two thirds of this mortgage will come out of the proceeds of a sale and my ****** still gets the 125,000 and one third of the proceeds.

So yeah, I think my ******* and I have been shafted.

There must be a way to ease the pain by passing a bit of the cost to Sis after the bad time comes...which I hope is when *** has ****** 100.
You are right, you been given the "hard part"...families. sigh...

Does your *** still have all of her mental faculties ?
if no, why not try the ''undue influence'' angle ?

maybe ? :dunno:

Yeah Facetious my *** is still pretty sharp I commented on that earlier.

My *** has agreed to have a codicil added to her will that will deduct any of the money my ****** has received previously to be deducted from any other assets or proceeds she may receive from her estate.

... Convinced my 71 year old ****** to take out a reverse mortgage on her home for 150,000 dollars and dear old *** loaned them 125,000 dollars of it.

The home was completely paid for until this and now when my ****** passes away the home which would have been inherited by myself my ******* and my ****** will have to have the mortgage paid off or sold.

My ****** didn't even sign an agreement with my ***. She just gave them the money so in essence we all assume the debt if it is still outstanding when *** passes.

I reall don't like her ( my ******) very much right now.

That is all.
:dunno: Doesn't sound like a HECM but an equity LOC. I think reverse mortgages pay the owner per month until either the person dies, sells the house or no longer uses it as a prim residence.

Do R/Ms payout in lump sums?

Yes Mega. Or installments but thankfully for a lesser LTV than traditional mortgages. The idea is to allow for some equity remaining after the owner passes away considering that interest will accrue.

I know someone who can off them and make it look like an "accident", but it's not cheap:cool:

All I can say is you're taking this a lot better than I would. This doesn't seem like a joking matter. What about Power of Attorney (I guess it's late for that now but..)

Is there a way you can find out what your ****** and her piece of **** hubby intend to do with the money? Maybe you can somehow go after it once they do something with it...:dunno:

TR a POA can be issued for specific things and I am now considering this.My ****** is very competent but has a soft spot for my ****** who is very adept at pulling at ***'s heartstrings.

As long as my ******* and I do not have to absorb the expense from this we will be ok.

What about this - have your ****** assume a traditional mortgage to cover the reverse mortgage. Not to be insensitive, but many mortgage companies offer an additional rider you can attach to the document that erases the mortgage upon her death. That might make everyone happy.

And your piece of **** ****** better agree to make the mortgage payments.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
It's sad to hear that a ***** would do that to a parent. Sorry to hear about that B/C.

As for refinancing and paying off the reverse mortgage, unless it's a much higher interest rate than the refi, would she be saving enough to make it worthwhile? I've not dealt with a reverse mortgage situation before, but I do know that they tend to be loaded with fees and some are just straight rip-offs.

But your *** would have to qualify for a conventional mortgage based on income. If she borrows $150K for 15 years at 4.5%, she'd need about $4 grand a month in gross income to qualify for a conventional mortgage (course, one or all of the **** could also go in as co-borrowers). $150K assumes that she uses what's left of the extra $25 grand to pay the closing costs, and whatever fees or penalties that might be attached to the reverse. The closing costs on the new loan will probably run somewhere between $5-$7 thousand, depending on how many points she pays and what other fees are standard for your area.

But if the combined costs of getting out of the reverse plus securing a new mortgage make this impractical, maybe it's not so bad... since it sounds like your *** has now basically made this more like an advance on your ******'s inheritance. Still, that was a pretty crappy thing to do, IMO.
