I know it's a shock to all of you, but Robert Mugabe is expected to win the election in Zimbabwe. Personally, I was betting on the other guy, but apparently, threats/intimidation, arrests, ******, and vote rigging CAN win elections. Who knew? :dunno:

Maybe the Aussie Dems have a chance after all!!!! :glugglug:

Your quite right in what you,ve said there, but you must realise that Britain badly wants rid of him because he ousted those white farmers from their land, in effect getting rid of Zimbabwe's Colonial past. Their did own the majority of land. The Africans could only rent it, hence the hatred from Mugabe.

I agree they must look after themselves it is the Black Africans land.

The way Mugabe is acting though is a sham, they need someone else in power to negotiate, as the Zimbabwean people will starve to death. Their currency is at present worth a Billion to one American Dollar. They badly need that trade embargo lifted, but American and Britain will only deal if their are allow to regain major assets as per usually.

Isn't it great how the US and Britain will only take immediate action in foreign affairs when the country in question has something that they can gain something from, but if it doesn't have anything of much interest to them, they prefer to let the country deal with its affairs on its own, regardless of the injustices or genocides that might be happening?
