Most Overrated Fast Food Establishment

Chick-fil-A for sure. They opened up some places in LA awhile ago and I was excited to give them a try. Their Chicken Sandwich is decent to pretty good but not nearly as great as some people say.

Chick-fil-a is strange to me. I've had it twice, don't recall being impressed. First time I had it was a really fucking good day so part of me wants to give it more chances.

Pizza Hut might be my choice. It just doesn't taste good to me. Its been a long fucking time, but maybe I'll try it again and see what I think. That's the one pizza place that I'm not excited about when someone says they're gonna order it. Dominos is also sliding down the scale ever since they started making their pizza's all stinky.

Don't bother on Pizza Hut Adam. I had it for first time last year and still the same crap. Doesn't matter which town I get it from always same crap. Undercooked dough and/or too much sauce that doesn't go over well with a undercooked pizza. Blah.

I got really turned off when I went to pick up an order for someone and they pulled the pizza to get it ready and sprayed it like crazy with some sort of aerosol spray before boxing it up. Still wonder what that was.

Subway
Their foot longs have been proven to not be that long as advertised.I truly believe the corporation hands franchises over to anybody to run.The one near my job did not have the regular breads for the subs the last 3 times I went there in the morning. They just had the flatbread available if you can believe it.The special subs they put on sale never are as good as they look in the advertisements. You have to tell the workers to go easy on the toppings especially lettuce or the guy will put two handfuls of it on there and all you taste in a bite is the toppings.
The pizza sub is horrible.

Taco Hell; er .. Bell. I tried it over the weekend for the second time, and AGAIN the tacos were 60% lettuce, 30% cheese, and 10% beef. WTF?? :-o

Wow that's weird never seen that and I been inside waiting watching all kinds of process. :dunno:

One time few years back I called up to place order of their garlic knots and this location was nothing but lazy stoned employees, but at time somebody really wanted em so I called up to place order. They said they don't have the ingredients to make em. Because one employee told me they hate doing garlic knots cos they have to do the dough up certain. Well idiot tells me that and I tell him then why the fuck you open? If you don't have dough, garlic and butter for the knots how the fuck you making pizzas? Uhhh well... let me get my manager.

Bitches.

Any large chain franchise that mainly serves sandwiches. I'm not just talking about Subway, because it's hard to be overrated when everybody now rightfully thinks it sucks, but also places like Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's, or Firehouse. At some point I would think people would have to realize that instead of paying for overpriced meat and bread they could literally walk into any decent sized grocery store, buy better tasting ingredients, and walk out and take a whole minute assembling their own sandwich thus negating one of the only advantages of fast food places. If you bought enough for a few days worth it would even be much more cost effective than going to a sandwich place.

As bad as say something like a burger from McDonald's would be if I got one I can at least take solace in the fact that if I wanted to make my own burger it would take quite a while and be impossible if I was short on time, thus adding some value in getting it. You can slap together your own better tasting sandwich in a minute.

Whataburger. If you live in Texas, most Texans act like whataburger is the holy grail, but I've never been impressed.

I'll agree with what D-rock said above, that better be one fantastic damn sandwich, and besides a local sandwich shop that makes fantastic sandwiches, every deli I've been to has left me disappointed.

I will be making a triumphant return to Austin, Texas this Thursday and as soon as I arrive make a special appearance at the Whataburger over on South Lamar where I will acquire a #2 Double Whataburger w/Cheese Meal with a large fries and Coca-Cola. Hopefully I don’t run into the chatty goofball from Killeen in the bathroom again.

In-N-Out. Fries are soggy. Who likes soggy fries? Apparently a lot of people but not me. Their burgers are decent.

You are correct, sir.
In ‘n’ Out Burger: Great Burgers. Shit fries.

Both In-N-Out and White Castle suck ass. Oh, You Miss White Castle, back east? Fuck you! It's hyped up shit, and it's not my fault that you're too poor to practice brand-loyalty towards something that fucking matters, loser. Coke? Pepsi? Fuck you - Louis XIII, bitch. :D

Of your US-food chains, I guess: Pizza Hut. A sad excuse for serving what mimics italian food.

For people here in Germany:

"Nordsee", a chain that specializes on fish. Don't go there.

Thread feedback:

Dino: *I* actually like Chik-Fil-A. I get the club - with bacon, lettuce and tomato. Also, good waffle fries.

Adam, Whimsy and Fly: *I* like Pizza Hut - for their apps. The bread sticks with the marinara sauce for dipping;yum!

Monder and Rock: Subway's .. Herb bread is my favorite, but I'll seek out other options if available. Of the sandwich chains though - Jimmy John's, Deangelo's (New England) and Mr. Subb (Upstate NY) are good.

Pizza Hut isn't mimicking Italian food. Now Olive Garden... yes lol

I will be making a triumphant return to Austin, Texas this Thursday...

Well, I'll be damned. You missed me by a week. I was there on the 1st and just got back last Tuesday. I'd have bought you one of them Whataburgers. :D Not sure where South Lamar is, but we made it to Eddie V's. A man could get real fat real quick in that town.

Most overrated fast food? That's a toughie, since I'd say most of them are. But to me, Taco Smell and White Castle top the list. Both of them give me the runs about an hour after I digest them.

I'd hit up Dairy Queen or Jack In The Box before I went to Whataburger.

All USA nationwide chains suck. Most of it should be illegal to sell to humans but the GOV cares more about the profits of and taxes paid by the medical/pharmaceutical industry than it does its citizens.

And don't give me that freedom of choice bullshit. Selling poison as actual food should be illegal.
