Do you feel sorry for the girls, or is it ok as long as they get paid?

I think sites like http://bukkakepee.com are some of the most degrading in my eyes. There are of course worse things than this, like scat and nasty shit like that, but the pee sites are becoming more and more mainstream and common, so more girls are doing it now.

Just looking for peoples opinions on the subject.

I think there's a decent case to be made that the porn where the girl's head is put in a toilet, or a toilet seat's put around her neck, or her face is pushed down under a guy's foot, or similar stuff (put in a dog kennel perhaps), or the face-spitting or shitting on them stuff, this stuff just MIGHT be designed to degrade the woman involved, or women generally. And the simulated rape stuff?? That strikes me as hard to defend.

Also, what's up with the whole pulling open women's mouths thing? Prying open their mouths with their hands as if they're trying to rip it open wider, or they put it in one of those dental things that holds it open. Weird....and possibly degrading.

I'm not into this stuff, and some of it bugs me.

I think there's a limit to the "nobody is coerced" argument.

That said, I also have MAJOR problems and disagreements with the likes of Andrea Dworkin, as dvc, mentioned above... (Let's not forget that there isn't just one variety of "feminism" - it's like a wide-ranging spectrum of beliefs with only a very few core beliefs and ideas (if any?) that all variants have in common)

To say that all sex is (or is like) rape is really taking academic pursuits to pedantic new lows, I think.

I am not into any of those kind of fetishes and as I said many people have either the same or different fetishes. A lot of feminist groups were part of anti-porn groups and movements but as soon as many of them found out that there are women who are in the porn industry but weren't porn stars are porn producers, porn directors and even own or run porn production companies they seemed to have backed off a bit. There seem to be many interesting views on this subject. Not all porn is made in the US where it might be that easy to get a normal job. Alot of porn today is made in eastern european countries where unemployment is still a major problem.

Indeed, that might make another interesting thread, but just in what you said I see a snag.

You say that "if all parties are consenting then it can't be (degrading)." and yet you say (regarding getting/having a job at Wal-Mart) "whether that's less degrading is a subject for another thread..."

But if consensual porn CAN'T be degrading, then how can something (like working at Wal-Mart) be LESS degrading than NOT degrading at all?
