Tiebreaker
In the event of a tie, match will be awarded to the so-called "underdog" candidate, as defined below.

note: the underdog is the candidate whose name, when submitted in quotes, returns the lesser number of hits via google search engine.

Although I'm much more a fan of Olivia Wilde, I voted Elizabeth Taylor.
In all the searches I done of her, I've never encountered a "bad" photo of her in her prime.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for Olivia. It seems she doesn't always bring her "A-game" to the public arena.

Hard to argue this. I adore Olivia and would be very happy to call her "My Girl". But in her PRIME there were few more beautiful than Elizabeth Taylor. International Velvet showed her as stunningly gorgeous. I am "OK" if Olivia wins this one because she is a GOOD choice - Elizabeth is the better one

NOW - tell me I can hang out and have fun with one of them - I choose Olivia because she seems like a "Guy's Girl" - someone who will join me on the couch to watch the football game and stuff like that and that is sooooooooooooooo appealing

Similar to a TKO in boxing, MBF tournament matches are "called" whenever one candidate attains a 7-vote advantage, at which point further voting is discouraged.

I voted for Elizabeth Taylor. An absolute beauty, though as others have noted, maybe not the one I'd pick for a fun date.

I'm hoping in a future installment to have the opportunity to vote for Ingrid Bergman, who I've always thought had the most beautiful face on film - though perhaps her peak years in the 40's and 50's disqualifies her from consideration under "Modern Media History".

Though Ingrid Bergman did make the general pool, she may not make the tournament. Unfortunately, there are only so many slots available, and there are so many beautiful women to consider from the last 50 - 60 years.

If she doesn't make it, you can blame Grace Kelly, who in effect would've taken Ms. Bergman's slot. Also, if it's any consolation, from that era, Gene Tierney and Hedy Lamarr are expected to make an appearance. But I certainly will consider Ingrid if slots become available.

Appreciate your interest and participation!

Elizabeth Taylor was, in her prime, one of the most beautiful woman ever (if not the most beautiful).

I do believe a majority of individuals with any historical perspective on the subject, believe that Ms. Taylor likely
is #1 in that regard.

One of the goals of this tournament is to determine if that consensus of belief is actually true.
It will be tested like never before, against perhaps the most formidable collection of beauties ever
fielded for a poll of this type.

Based on what I've witnessed thus far in the first few matches, I'm confident freeone'ders can remain true to the task at hand, and vote for the most beautiful candidate... disregarding media-related aspects such as celebrity status or fame that may be associated with either or both contenders.

This really isn't a competition, even if Wilde is really good looking.

Actually, if you ask me which celebrity, past or present, had or has, in her prime, the most beautiful face, the first name that's gonna come to my mind is Audrey Hepburn

Johan, seems we are of like minds on this... TOTALLY agree with you! Although I had heard of her before, I really didn't "discover" Audrey Hepburn until I began researching this topic. A lethal combination of cuteness and beauty she's my odds on favorite to dethrone Elizabeth Taylor as the ultimate beauty queen.

So, what will happen if people continue to vote and, at the end of the 7 days, the score is Taylor 9 - 10 Wilde ?

Because I had earlier recommended that voting cease in the match, I would recreate a new poll and allow it to run the full 7 days.

Elizabeth Taylor was, in her prime, one of the most beautiful woman ever (if not the most beautiful).

Grace Kelly gets my vote as Most Beautiful Woman EVER.............although I was working backstage at a Motley Crue concert around 1989/90 and Heather Locklear showed up. 25-ish years later I am still rubbing one out thinking of how she looked that day. Most Beautiful Woman I have ever seen - not even close
