Most anticipated game of 2015?

Well, 2014 was not exactly a great year for gaming, since most of the most high profile titles didn't exactly live up to expectations. Watch Dogs is decent, but not really that groundbreaking, AC: Unity was a buggy mess that even involved microtransactions (the kind you would expect in a freemium game), and I haven't played Destiny, but I heard it was a mediocre mixture between Halo and CoD.

Hopefully, this year should be far better, with game developers learning not to release unfinished games, and for the games themselves not to be overhyped to the point where advertisements for one particular game is going to be burned in one's retina.

That being said, what are your most anticipated games for this year?

Here is my personal list:

Dying Light- Seriously, how can you make zombie parkour not awesome?
Hotline Miami 2- Psychedelic mindfucks and all-around violence fused with reasonable difficulty? I think yes.
MGSV: Phantom Pain- I've played every game in this series for as long as I could remember, and this will most likely be no different.
Mortal Kombat X- Need I say more?
DOOM (or Doom 4) - Not a lot of people have been hearing about this game, and in case you're wondering, it's a reboot of an absolute classic.
Hellraid- Quoth that infamous quote, "liek Skyrim with blud"

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman: Arkham Knight

Final Fantasy XV whenever it comes out might be the first one I'm actually willing to try since Final Fantasy X.

CrimsonBolt

I AM A SLUT FOR RYAN GOSLING
the three i wait the most
Uncharted 4
Batman Arkham Knight
The Order 1886

also Until Dawn and Witcher 3 could be interesting.

and of course Rise Of The Tomb Raider (hope they make it on PS4 too.)

Red Dead Redemption remastered on PS4, XB1 and PC this spring.

Red Dead Redemption 2 this fall (crosses fingers).

Don't know if it will be 2015 or 2016, but hands down I'm waiting for Mirror's Edge 2

For games confirmed for 2015 you have:
2 Zelda games; Major's Mask 3D and an unnamed WiiU game (which looked pretty epic)
Splatoon
Yakuza 5
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
Final Fantasy VII -> IF they make it into a remake and not a Port.

Not that it's a bad game, but I don't get why GTA V gets so much love. I mean, we make fun of how AssCreed & COD squirt out sequels every year, but at least they are new games. This is the 3rd version of GTA V right? Is 1st person perspective that amazing?

you dream buddy, a seriously hope they will make a third red dead game but obviously is not for this year. (nor the next.)

at this time nothing was announced and rockstar takes alot of time to create their games.

This is a terrible analogy. You just compared a game series that comes out about every 5 years or so to 2 series that come out every year. Furthermore, the releases of GTA V were for different platforms. 2013 was last gen consoles, 2014 was current gen consoles and 2015 to the PC.

But it's the same game from 2013. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aside from the 1st person perspective option and graphics, it's still the same missions, same story, same maps, same multiplayer modes, etc. It's not like Pokemon ORAS or Link between worlds where it's a total remake. Imagine if they released the AC/COD series one console at a time, e.g. Advanced Warfare on PS3 last year, PS4/XBO this year, then a PC version in 2016. Do you think people would be impressed? At the very least, I doubt they'd get the same excitement that GTA V is getting.

Personally, I wouldn't care if AC/COD were released one console at a time. You're still barking up the wrong tree though. Re-releases of games happen all the time. One of the biggest releases for the PS4 was The Last of Us Remastered and that has sold pretty well. Although I have yet to play The Last of Us, it's sitting in my collection waiting for me to complete AC:Unity, but from what I understand, all Naughty Dog did was update the graphics, add a photo mode and all the DLC.

People are excited for GTA V again because a lot of people skipped the game on last gen and waited for current gen. PC owners are excited because they can finally play the game and mod it to hell. I bought the game again because I like the game. Then there is GTA Online, which also benefits from the upgraded hardware. It's not like Rockstar has another game near ready for release. They don't rush games out the door like other companies.

Since you brought it up, AC:Unity was never released for PS3/X360, and for PC/PS4/XBO it was released simultaneously. PS3/360 got a totally different game: Different setting, different characters, different story. AC: Rogue was not a remake of Unity in any way. So even if Unity was released a year or two later, the excitement would be totally justified.

People are excited for GTA V again because a lot of people skipped the game on last gen and waited for current gen. PC owners are excited because they can finally play the game and mod it to hell.

And this brings us back to my main point that I brought up: Instead of being mad at the fact that they were left in the dark for well over a year, they're gushing at the fact they're getting the game at all. Rockstar is the only company that discriminates against the PC market and gets away with no backlash. They did it with GTA IV & it's spinoffs, and they didn't even bother releasing Red Dead Redemption for the PC at all. And that's my question / what I don't get. Sure, other companies shove out more games, but at least they're giving each market segment the same treatment.

Uncharted 4 - A Thief's End, still haven't bought a PS4 since the current games are a bit "meh" and I still have tons of PS3 games to play but Uncharted might be reason for me to get a PS4.
