So whaddya think? Good move for the Pats? Will he fit in with the new Vikings? Will Favre be able to even throw it that far to him? Good move or a bad?

I think that Moss will have an immediate impact on the vikes roster, putting the other WRs in a great position to do better. Any team that gives up a player like Moss is going to be less of a team, period. The guy is just that good, and hopefully we see him in MN once again.

I thought this was about the actual Vikings with the dragon ships.

He was top 5 in the league last year, but he's been as low as 18th two years ago. For the Vikings though, he'd probably be at worst league average.

What are you talking about? 18th in what? 05 and 06 seasons with Oakland are irrelevant.

2007: 98 receptions 1493 yards 23 freaking touchdowns. EPIC SEASON
2008: 69 receptions 1008 yards 11 touchdowns - without Tom Brady for the first quarter of the season.
2009: 83 receptions 1264 yards 13 touchdowns.

The guys numbers are consistent, and hes right where he should be. He is definitely going to be better than average for the Vikings, if Favre can get him the ball.

Randy Moss is following right along a similar path with Terrell Owens to the Hall of Fame. If the Vikings or someone else are able to trade for him they should, the Pats should try resign him although that sounds unlikely.

Clipped this from another article:
The hold-up is that the Vikings and Moss would have to renegotiate his contract, though the discussions have not yet happened. The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 19.

Moss is happy in New England, close friends say, but he understands he may have to move on if the Patriots don’t want him in their future. He’d like a fat new contract before the possible 2011 lockout because he doesn’t want to be a free agent with no football.

Friends of Moss also maintain they’ve kept his purple No. 84 jerseys in their closets just in case.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are hoping second-year receiver Brandon Tate is the future Moss. A trade of Moss also increases the likelihood of a new contract for Wes Welker.

Yep, sounds like Mr. B is done with Moss, and the Vikes would take him. I dont worry about Moss' skills, just if the team is going to be able to do anything with him. But to me, if you have a guy that can stretch the field like he can in the passing game, which certainly the vikings lack, added to AP, well the Vikings will make themselves contenders once again. Besides with the bye week for the vikes, and an upcoming monday night game, the stars have aligned for Moss' return to his home.

MOSS!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Patriots fan, I really **** that he got traded but this thing got done before it turned in a TO deal like with the Eagles. I think that he'll help out the Vikings, only if the Vikings line can protect him. Good Luck Vikings and Moss.

That's a bummer, but Moss wasn't happy in New England, and hasn't been for awhile.

The only person this will directly affect is Wes Welker. Without Moss drawing all the attention, Welker may not get as open as he usually does.

Of course, the opposite applies as well. Whoever takes Moss' spot will maybe get open more since he won't be covered like Randy was.

Regardless...I've learned to trust Belichick.

I'm not really a Vikings fan, but being a Gator fan I'm a huge Percy Harvin fan. So I think it's a good thing as it will probably open Percy up a bit more (I'm especially hoping for this as he's on my fantasy team:D).

Plus, as much as most people **** him these days, I still wouldn't mind seeing Favre go out on top. So hopefully Moss will help fix the problems they've had at WR.

As for the Pats, I don't think it will effect them at all. They always seem to find a way to find good replacements for outgoing players. Really, who ever heard of Wes Welker when he was with Miami?

Except for Brady, Belichick's offense has never included superstars until Moss so I think they'll be just fine....at least I sure hope so since I just picked up Brandon Tate (Moss' replacement in NE) off the waiver wire in my fantasy league. :D

You heard it here first, folks. I only beat the OP by 14 hours though. And I damn sure didn't think it deserved its own thread.
