It's been a few weeks since I announced that we'll be dropping the Best Euro category from the 2014 contest and adding the Best MILF and Most Underrated! So I think it's time to leak something else we're changing for this year's contest. The vote weight!
As with previous years, the votes are weighed in favor of FreeOnes members. However, this year, the votes are obscenely weighted toward active FreeOnes members who have been around for quite awhile! So, this year if you don't play...you can't complain!
So, here's how it's going to go down (see the chart below to see the exact vote weights). As with previous years, anonymous or not logged in voters will only have a vote weight of .25. So it takes 4 anonymous voters to get a total of 1 vote.
However, for FreeOnes members, your vote weight is a combination of the time you've had your account and the amount you post. As you can see, if someone just signs up and doesn't bother coming to the board and participate, their vote is worth just 1. If they are posting then they can increase the weight of their vote (it is possible to increase the weight during the contest, but it will only update between rounds).
The biggest difference is aged accounts. Just signing up so you can age your account for Miss FreeOnes isn't going to work. It doesn't matter if your account is 5 years old, if you haven't bothered to really post in 5 years, your vote isn't going to be worth as much as someone who's been around 5 years and has posted their little heart out.
So that's it for now! I know a lot of you are waiting to see how the actual voting is going to go. As soon as the developers are 100% sure it's going to work as I intend it to work, I'll announce the ins and outs of the new voting system! And of course I still have the prizes to announce and a few other little things in the near future. Just working the devil out of the details.
