MILWAUKEE - A 14,500-year-old woolly mammoth skeleton dug up in 1994 has been unveiled at the Milwaukee Public Museum, giving locals a glimpse of perhaps the most intact specimen discovered in North America.

Few paleontological specimens are as complete as the Hebior mammoth. The skeleton lacks a rib as well as a few bones in the tail and feet, but is otherwise nearly whole.

Standing more than twice the height of a person, the woolly mammoth is among three with scientific significance for southern Wisconsin.

That's it. When Senob and I are driving through Milwaukee I'm going to have him drop me off at the museum. I can get a ride afterwards.

Cool! Milwaukee is not always known for being a city with a lot of culture, but things like this should help. :)

Didn't they also find a petrified woolly mammoth, complete with skin, in the area somewhat recently? When's that gonna be on display?

East Coast snob.

Milwaukee's been getting culture for years.

We're going to be having a discussion about this later.

This is awesome! I wanna see it! Yay! On my next tour, it will be on my Milwaukee to do list! Yay! It'll be freezing, like, January or something, but I don't think the woolly mammoth will mind!

::rimshot:: Good call.

Btw I dunno if I ever mentioned it but I did like most of the 80s lighter-rock stuff I've heard from yer band. Not bad.

Great! Now we can clone it and pretty soon there'll be woolly mammoth stampedes like in 10,000 B.C.! :eek:
