ok, this thread is for any freeones members who own a computer.

you know with windows you've got that little yellow shield shape thing in the tray saying "updates are ready for your computer"
well i usually ignore them.
i have the "if it ain't broke ,don't fix it " mentality.
but about 2 weeks ago i installed all the updates and patches that accumulated , about 25 of them.
well boom, a few days later, super virus.
the black screen of death.
took me all day and night just to get the desktop up.
another day to install the latest norton and malewarebytes and find the bitch.
trojan ***** " alunaxyd.dll " plus this backdoor tideservinf a106081.sys thing.
quarantined, deleted, but they keep coming back.
changing my settings all over the place, error messages left and right, programs not responding, sound problems.......and more, the comp is a mess.

my point, has anybody ever downloaded updates and gotten viruses after?
i read on norton website that this is probably how i got mine.

whats your opinion or experiences?
thanks
