Microsoft Windows 11

Anyone using Windows 11 yet and what's it like?
I didn't know until recently that It was released last October 5, 2021.
I ran a few tests to see if my PC is compatible, but my PC is too old to run Windows 11.
Windows 10 support will end on Oct. 2025, so maybe I'll upgrade my PC then.

I'd like to think that the "self-assessment" to determine is your PC is W11 ready is overly cautious. One of my PCs is about 5yrs old, and is able to play most modern games, but it "failed" the test. I think it puts too much emphasis on whether your PC has an SSD boot drive. I bet they're upping the minimal specs so that people don't complain when they try to run that resource hog on a PC that is totally adequate to run W10.

In any case, I don't see any new features that makes W11 that attractive in the first place.

I don't see any reason to rush upgrade into a bug-ridden nightmare that overconsumes resources that will face compatibility issues with existing software. PC prices are going to go down again as the chip shortage is getting remedied, so I might start looking to upgrade at the end of 2023, but won't even think of it before then.

Been running 11 for several months, Freeones still works so it's fine. No complaints other than the stupid idea that I want all "like active windows" grouped into a single icon on the taskbar with no way to revert to reasonable behavior. Minecraft crashed for a while, but that was Minecraft's fault and was fixed.

What are the main differences compared to Windows 10?

Very little difference for me. As @DrakeM said, Freeones still works for me. Bad news for everyone else I guess. :)
