Is that why she acts like such a clown? :elaugh:

nice.
Someone needs to post this here:
Is that why she acts like such a clown? :elaugh:
Actually...he does. His father grew up there.
Does anyone ever wonder how much of it is actually real stupidity and whether they REALLY believe half of the garbage they spew? I sometimes wonder how much of it isn't actually pandering to their base...which is made up of a bunch of truly ignorant clowns (as opposed to the serial killer variety such as Pogo the Clown...AKA John Wayne......Gacy!)When someone is so ignorant as to believe the earth is less then 10,000 years old, any stupid statement is likely to come out of them.
Who cares.
I agree...like I said before, this one really is no biggie.....and might not have been all that big a mistake at all anyway (evidently Marion/John's dad was from Waterloo....and Marion/John was born in Iowa).
But, especially in this 24/7 media cycle, when someone says something "stupid" it's bound to come out...and Michelle does make her fair share of gaffes. Just today, I saw a clip where she said how hard the founding fathers worked during the creation of this nation until they had abolished slavery once and for all.......evidently forgetting that to get the Constitution passed....a clause that would have abolished slavery by a certain date was removed....and it wasn't until another 80+ years had passed and we fought a civil war that slavery was actually abolished. It seems that American History is not a strong point for most politicians....and the GOP is the weakest of the two parties in their grasp thereof.
By weakest....I was talking in terms of having a real grasp on American History. When it comes to weakest people in general....I would have to agree that no party has exactly cornered the market in that regard. Personally, I believe we as a people have seriously lowered our standards so much as to what is acceptable....or even what qualifies someone as being a good leader. Frankly, I don't see too many truly good leaders on either side of the aisle.....but it would appear that the GOP has allowed itself to get hijacked by the lunatic fringe....so much so that there aren't even that many moderates left (or they are too afraid to show any signs of being moderate). The GOP will have problems until someone has the fortitude to have a "McCarthy Moment" & they take a stand against the nuts.I disagree with that. The GOP is not the weakest by far. A couple of idiot women is not the whole GOP party.

For the record, I am a registered Democrat who voted for Hillary in the primary....and was poised to vote for McCain in the general election....UNTIL he allowed "them" to force Palin upon him as his running mate.....and he began to pander to the lunatic fringe....then by default really.....I voted for Obama.....who has hardly impressed me as a leader & I am not overly pleased with to this point. BUT, I would vote for him again at this point.......unless the GOP can come up with and nominate a reasonably sane and competent person to run against him.
They certainly seem to be an accurate representation though, especially if the GOP isn't making any real attempts to distance themselves from them.I disagree with that. The GOP is not the weakest by far. A couple of idiot women is not the whole GOP party.
You obamites crack me up, you're either on a pension, on welfare or you're grant students... get'toff yer lay zayy asses and pay your fair share of taxes! :1orglaugh
52% of america's highest income earners voted for him.
We could attribute this to a verbal flub (we all make them), but her pattern of "verbal flubs" is becoming too great to not see a pattern.
She thought the Shot Heard Around the World happened in New Hampshire.
She thought the fathers of the Constitution worked day and night to omit slavery from the original draft.
She literally lied about not receiving government farm subsidies (a pretty big lie, actually, from someone so anti-government spending).
She said that Obama had released all oil reserves...when in fact, 4 percent were released.
These are not words misspoken by a fatigued presidential candidate - these are statements made by a very ignorant, very manipulative person. And were she not one of the GOP favorites at the time, this would not be quite as disturbing.
