Michael Vick signs 2-yr deal w/Eagles

It's irrelevant. Vick has always been overrated since he came into the league. He's a below average quarterback with above average speed. He's not the "play maker" he used to be. May he toil in mediocrity at a different position (he won't be a QB again). If I never hear about him again, it will be too soon. I hope a linebacker breaks his fuckin' neck...

WOW did not think a team would pick him up that soon.
Did not think it would be the Eagles.
Wasn't a Vic fan before the Dog Fighting.
See if he is worth the trouble it will bring???

I don't wish anything bd on him but I do think he is played out but he could open somethings up for McNabb

Ha ha vic

They signed him because kevin kolb may be out longer than they thought and they r really trying to win a super bowl so if mcnabb is out for a month in the season vick has a better chance of winning games. They said they will also use him in creative ways.

Crazy. I won't be rooting for the Eagles this year.

Fuck. If Vick wins a Super Bowl after all this, I might kill myself.

that is just fucking stupid

but yeah never been a fan of the eagles and coming off a day after my friend killed himself i dont really care for comments like that either

Not being a fan of the Eagles I could care less, but I think this may indeed be a smart move on their part from a football stand-point.

From a Philly stand-point, are they trying to kill him, if it doesn't work out those that want him dead may get their wish.

They signed him to put more people in the stands. Like someone said earlier, he's badly overrated. Sure he's got speed and a canon for an arm, but inaccuracy and a lack of being able to make plays when needed kept him from living up to his potential. Bets of luck to him in Philly, though.

let is slide bear. I'm sure he meant no harm.

i know im just sensitive and that comment was just tasteless but i guess if i get that offended by something that stupid maybe i should take a few days to clear my head and thank you feller

I'm not happy with the fact that he's playing again. It's kind of like rewarding him. Yeah, he's paid his debt to society, but professional athletes tend to influence many, many people. I don't see why Goodell is letting him play, but benching Stallworth. Vick's crime was intentional. Stallworth's wasn't.

he is playing along behind mcnabb so i hope mcnabb stays healthy has a great season and vick just warms the bench and pretty soon becomes old and washed up and an after thought

Trying to sell tickets. That is the last thing they need. They are printing money during home games and there is about a 8 year waiting list for season tickets. You can never buy single game tickets because every game is sold out . It is not about money.

They are trying to win.

And it isnt about selling jerseys since every team splits the revenue.

All right, I hate Vick as much as the next guy. But I think the difference is that Stallworth killed a person. That should bring a long suspension. What Vick did was vile and unforgivable, don't get me wrong. However, he was already suspended for an entire season when he was indicted, spent some time in prison, and will probably be suspended for at least four games to start this year. He's missed plenty of time already and hopefully won't be a factor on the Eagles this year.

I wonder if they are going to try to turn him into a receiver or some type running option out of the backfield. The Eagles are generally a smart organization so they should know enough to tell he sucks at playing quarterback and that was before she spent the last two years not even playing football.
