Douglas, 31, was originally placed under house arrest, but later tossed in jail after his girlfriend, Kelly Sott, allegedly tried to smuggle heroin to him last year in an electric toothbrush.
Sott was busted when she brought the toothbrush -- which had 19 tiny baggies of heroin in its battery compartment -- to Cameron.
At the time of his original bust on July 28 at the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District, Douglas, an actor/DJ, had been staying in a room rented by his ******.
When authorities barged in, they found the room a mess and Douglas "very strung out," according to *************** sources.
