McDonald's 'wrong' to fire worker over cheese slice

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
The fast-food chain had argued that the waitress - who was employed at a branch in the northern town of Lemmer - had broken staff rules prohibiting free gifts to family, friends or colleagues.

Well, if they're going to consider putting a slice of cheese on a hamburger some sort of free gift, then they should also go as far to punish people who put too much salt on the fries, top the McChickens with too much lettuce or fill cups with too much soda.

Fuck.

"McDonald's was ordered to pay the former employee more than 4,200 euros ($5,900; £3,660) for the last five months of her contract."

You have to sign a contract to work at McDonalds now?!?!?

What they didn't tell you was that it was actually a slice of Ronald's McAss Cheese(tm). That stuff is like gold. They were right to terminate their employment...

In Europe (or at least in France), every people working at McDonald's sgned a contract.
Here, you can't get a job without signing a contract. Even if it's a very low contract like 10hrs/week, you got a contract.

I've worked for McDonald's in France and I ha one.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Not including the Merrill Lynch debacle, how many BILLION$ did Ken Lewis cost Bank of America? Did he get fired? Reprimanded? Pay cut? Anything??? But this lowly waitress cost her restaurant probably 4 cents for that cheese and as much as 35 cents in lost profits! The nerve of this
wench!

Instead of whining, this sorry bitch should be happy that they didn't strip her naked, brand her forehead with the letter "C" (for cheese!) and throw her into the street, where she belongs!!!

Damn it Bush and Obama have teamed up in their muslim ways to stop people from using too much cheese. These taliban members will stop at nothing to rid the world of cheese. Don't blame Clinton though he was going through a rough time, but it was smooth and warm at times (pun intended).

Conspiracy...
A McDonald's outlet in the Netherlands was wrong to sack an employee for giving a colleague a piece of cheese on a hamburger, a court has ruled.

I guess they don't have a Burger King in the Netherlands.

Burger King's slogan would have to be, "You can't have it your way!"

I thought the Netherlands was supposed to be a good country.

The waitress was fired last March after she sold a hamburger to a co-worker who then asked for cheese, which she added.

If someone asks for cheese, a pickle, anything you give it to them.

But, not the cash register.

The Netherlands, they cause too much trouble.

Did you know in Europe, they don't have a Quarter-Pounder with cheese? It's called a Royale with cheese. And do you know why?
