Married with children kind of humor

As I watched Married with Children over the last couple of months I've come to the conclusion that I consider this to be the best comic series ever. Although it doesn't have a story line through the whole series - which Friends* has - it still keeps getting interesting. The only downside it that Kelly - while getting hotter - is getting dumber and dumber every season, just like Homer Simpson is and Joey Tribbiani from Friends. (*Friends storyline = All the crap Ross and Rachel are involved to.)

As I now watched it I have three questions

1 ) Is going to return? And if so, in what way? Seems doubtfull since Bud and Kelly aren'ty really children anymore.

2 ) What series is just as sarcastic like this one or has the same kind of atmosphere. I love the confrontation between Al and Marcy.

3 ) What comedy series is currently being the best?

No, sorry, there is nothing else quite like Married With Children. As far as comedy series go the only other one I think is as funny would be South Park.

There was a Married With Children wannabe show called Unhappily Ever After, but if I remember correctly the only good thing about it was Nikki Cox.

Wow it's 1992 all over again hurrah the Pirates actually had a good team. The LA Cops will be aquitted and OJ was best know for the naked gun movies. Ah the good old days of freshman year of High School.

I was a HUGE Married With Children fan back when. And that show you mentioned, wasn't Nikki Cox the Kelly Bundy knock-off? I saw it once or twice, I think. Didn't the dad have a dog that was a puppet or something weird like that? I just remember that it was a pretty strange show.

Yes indeed. I did not like that show because it was a knock off of Married with Children. She was the "smart hot chick" if I remember correctly.

Wasn't it a dust bunny that he hallucinated because of schizophrenia? I'm not sure it was a dust bunny but I'm pretty sure it was suppose to be a hallucination.

The store I read about how Unhappily Ever After came about was MWC was looking like it may be canceled and a bunch of the writers jumped ship to this new show that was going to fill the void of MWC, supposing it was canceled; it wasn't

Yes, this thread is kind of bouncing around in my brain along with some of Kelly Bundy's ponderings like what would chairs look like if our knees were on the back of our legs.
