Man sells old video game for $31,600

I have NES Link with the gold cartridge. Another game with gold cartridge. A slew of Atari games.

GameInformer ran a article in the back of one issue about hidden gems in video games and showed the top ten most expensive games to be sold. Some are extremely rare. It was interesting.

I've only ever had one game that comes close, Castlevania on the Playstation that had some limited edition Japanese artwork with it. Sold it on eBay for around £60 (say $120 at the time) around 5 years ago and some others who had sold it before had got even more. I've also got Aliens Vs Predator on the Atari Jaguar that used to hold a bit of value on eBay, it's supposedly rare.

I've seen black label Final Fantasy VII go for $200+ and a lot of other black label PS1 games.

Heck, at one time, I found Resident Evil: Survivor going for $30. Considering that game is a fish out of water flopping to death, that's something.

Hit and a miss with random online selling.

I wonder how much that little robot for the NES is worth the one that let you play Gyromite and the powerpad that was another one.

I wonder how much an unopened Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation 1 would be worth?
I bought it and still to this day never played it.

My dad and I had hundreds of Atari games when I was little. I wonder which ones would have been worth money? I can't even remember most of them now.

Sick. If I could go back in time. If I could go back in time...

Don't get me started on that. I'd fill up on comics and the original star wars and transformers toys, i used to have transformers (inc the base) but being a kid just wrecked them and I think my parents threw them away. In the news today here in the UK a worker in a charity shop found an issue of The Beano from 1939 in the items someone had donated and it's worth at least £2000 if not more. In terms of luck, check this guy out:
