LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas authorities confirmed Tuesday that a 10-year-veteran of the Long Beach Police Department ***** committed suicide at a Las Vegas hotel and casino over the weekend.
Officer Randy Kleber, who was most recently assigned to the Airport Security detail, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest on Saturday at about 8:15 p.m., according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Kleber, 32, was in a hotel room at the Gold Coast Casino and Hotel at the time of the shooting, coroner's investigators said.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department also confirmed the death, saying early Tuesday that police were notified of the shooting at about 7:40 p.m.
