I remember seeing all of those late night ads for phone sex back in the 90s and early 00's, and how popular it was. Obviously now that webcam sites are a thing it's not as popular. I joined a website called Niteflirt a few months ago and placed two ads, one in Phone and one with phone With Cam. As you can imagine, my phone With Cam ad has gotten four times the calls than my phone ad, and all of my phone ad calls have come from the same guy.

In 2013, would you still pay for just phone sex, or would you only do phone with cam/normal cam shows?

Voted before I read OP, thought this was about phone sex with your partner. Still no in both cases. If I'm paying for a service, to be honest, I want it to be worth paying for. Yeah, I'm sure anyone charging for phone sex is good enough at it to justify the expense but at the end of the day I'm still just using my imagination to get myself going. At least with porn or other visual stimuli there's something concrete that's turning me on, the sight of something being much more tangible than the thought of it. FWIW I don't care for it with my partner either but in that case it's because, God love her, she's as deaf as a post on the phone and there's no point shouting something down the line at her.

There always used to be phone sex ads in the Sunday Sport etc, before the internet existed.

Now with the internet there's video chat services available and cam2cam with mics.

I guess pay-for phone sex won't be used as much as before, but would still interest people, especially with cam at the same time.
