Let's consider for a moment--Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck are elected...

Let's consider that Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin successfully coalesce the angry mobs of hard-working Americans that they see every day and win control of government.

The first thing they do is to eliminate the Federal Gov't. This means that, among other things, we no longer have a military as we know it today.

What then becomes the ideal way for securing the nation...
1. The creation of strong, independent state militias

2. The creation of a private enterprise to assume national defense (the combination of Halliburton and Blackwater) and funding this enterprise becomes the responsibility of each state.

So Conservatives, you have your wish. Which of these 2 options is your preferred method of life without a Military? Is there a 3rd option?

Though Ron Paul does not advocate the elimination of the military, isn't it reasonable to see how his beliefs in isolationism (and foreign base withdrawals) when coupled with the end of all Federal Gov't entities literally means the end of the military.

First your premise is flawed. Both of these conservatives would be strict Constitutionalists and the Constitution calls for the federal government providing for the defense for this country. No Conservative advocates elimination of the Federal Government, only that they follow the parameters set forth within the Constitution. And if I may ask, do you actually believe that Glenn Beck would be running for anything other than maybe the head of his local PTA?

Try again.

Why would Beck stop a money maker like his TV and radio show in order to take a paycut to become lead this country? Also why all the fasanation with Beck on the left, everwhere I go I hear liberals talking about Beck and Palin, hell the left is doing more to promote these to they their own PR teams.
