Lesbian-owned vegan cafe goes under after its 18% "Man Tax" proves unpopular.

It really boggles the mind that so many of these SJW types can't understand that you don't protest bias and prejudice by being biased and prejudiced.

Rule #3: Respect goes both ways.

Rule #4 (in invisible chalk): Ignore rule #3

A lesbian-owned vegan cafe in Melbourne, Australia that charged an 18 percent “man tax” went out of business after only being in business for less than two years.

Two years? Wow! Interesting to know that Australia allows discrimination. I wonder if they had a separate entrance, bathrooms and tables (way back in the corner) for Aborigines?

This from last year or two. And it's still fucking hilarious with a hint of sadness. Sadness because in their minds they think they are goddamn 100% tolerant and spreading unity.

The Handsome Her restaurant made headlines in 2017 when it announced its rules for seating arrangements: female customers got preference and men had to pay an 18 percent tax to eat there.

The tax was described as a way to “protest the gender pay gap.” It backfired– or fired them in the end.

We were just one little tiny shop on Sydney Rd that was trying to carve out a swathe of space to prioritise women and women’s issues, and suddenly we became the punching bag of Melbourne and the internet

Gender gap pay ois a real issue that miust be adressed. But you don't adress it by taxing men. Two wrongs don't make a right

I consider myself a feminist (or at least a feminist sympathiser) but I'm glad this shop went out of business.
Feminism is not being anti-men, it's being pro-female, pro gender equality. Conservatives like to paint feminist as anti-men and some feminist seem to act as so, giving a bad name to an overwelmig majority of women's rights advocates.

I thinnk they knew they weren't 100% tolerant but they thought men deserved to be discriminised

:picardfacepalm: :brick:

Imagine the menu items that men are straight up banned from getting at all from places like that:
"Scissoring saucy salads: sanctioned sapphic savor. Patriarchy permanently prohibited!"
"Dickless desserts: diced daikon. Phallic property perforated!"

:dunno:

That's all I got. I'm bad with food names and humour in general. You people with an actual sense of humour and verbal ability, please try to invent some menu items for places like this. We can never have enough fun in SJWs expense.

Saying something is true and failing to prove it with facts is the ultimate waste of time (Like the accusations of President Trump's alleged racism). Prove there's a wage gap (Or racism). Simply making an accusation is bullshit. The reason there is a perceived gap is that women haven't historically had the same education, training or ability. Women haven't majored in STEM courses, instead opting for liberal arts degrees, which don't pay as well. Women take time off to give birth and raise children, which also affects their earning potential (Not that child raising isn't important) but it's their historical role and most women I know wouldn't change that role. Men generally have a more aggressive nature when it comes to work. They work longer hours. They are more tenacious and they generally bring in more business.

Is that right? Unfortunately it isn't, but I've hired more than a few women in the few years I've been a business owner. I always hire anyone who can pass a background check and will look decent in a uniform. That is, they don't look like a soup sandwich (Slob) in uniform and carry themselves with an air of authority and command. I've also fired people of both genders for failure to perform their assigned duties, post abandonment or incompetency. I'd never hire a person to perform crowd control or any other duty that requires the ability to command immediate compliance, or outright physical intimidation unless they have a proven history in that area.

My 5'2" Vietnamese girlfriend is more suited to administration, Human Resources, sales or training, rather than the physicality required to patrol in uniform and 35 pounds of gear. That isn't sexist or misogynistic. It's reality.

You're 100% right, but I bet she looks better in a uniform.

Just sayin'

Since you're asking me to prove gender gap pay is real, I'm gonna ask you to prove that women take liberal arts degrees instead of STEM courses and that women have a less agressive nature towards work , I'm gonna ask you to prove men work longers hours 'cause if we rely on cliche's, I could argue that women are more organised
And since, you've brought that "child" issue, don't you see the irony of conservatyives attached to the maternal role of women and then claiming that pregnancy, birth and raising kid are reasons for why they aren't paid as much as men ?

This is my kind of feminist. But because she's an independent thinker (not a sheep), the SJW/victim feminists now want her fired from her job as a tenured professor. As a professor at other universities, you can cheer for the assassination of the president and celebrate the deaths of American soldiers in foreign lands and keep your job... but if you criticize the #MeToo movement for perpetuating a hyperbolic rape culture, you have GOT to go! Yep. The mob on display.

Camille Paglia: The fearless feminist

Paglia considers herself an old-style feminist who believes in equal freedoms for men and women but also believes that biological reality imposes insuperable gender differences. In other words, women and men are essentially different and there is nothing wrong with that. Modern feminism for her is an exercise in social engineering pushed by spoiled daughters of the bourgeois middle class, who aim to replace their biological fathers by state paternalism. These feminists do not want freedom, they want serfdom.

So while she might not go along with my choice of words, when I've referred to N.O.W. as the National Organization for (Wealthy, Whiny, White) Women, I believe that Camille Paglia would understand (and agree with) my intent.

Fakes and frauds, like those whiny, nonsensical idiots who ran that slop shop in Australia, are what's wrong with feminism. Camille Paglia is what's right about it. But once she's gone, the victim feminazis will have full say. When you're a coward, with no logic to your argument, you oppose freedom of expression and speech. When what you say makes no sense, or is hypocritical, you need the PC thought police to keep counter arguments tamped down.
