Lebron James

Lebron James going to New York or staying in Cleveland?

If he doesn't go to New York,he's going somewhere else eventually.

It's really rare for any athlete these days to play out their whole career with one franchise(and I don't mean a 3 to 5 year career).I think that Tim Duncan will probably be the last basketball player to do this,or at least he has the potential to.

If I'm the Cavs, I throw the whole bank at him to stay in C-town. He's from Akron so he might be tempted to stay home. NY or LA glitter always glows for pro athletes though. Personally, I'd love to see him in a Rockets' uniform but ain't likely to happen.

Don't forget about Kobe Bryant.

I think it's 50/50 at this time for LeBron to go to NY. I am sure he wants to see what the Knicks plan to do to be championship caliber, like it was with Celtics who went from bad to Champions in one season. If Knicks sign Bosh and few other all star FAs I am sure LeBron will be sold.

What do you mean? That he's gonna stay?

Let's not forget that the Lakers were about to pull the trigger before the season started last year to trade him to the Bulls. No way Kobe is gonna stay a Laker for his whole career, unless he retire within the next couple of years.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Being from Cleveland, I can guarantee you that LeBron will NOT stay with the Cavaliers. Cleveland has a history of breeding amazing talent, letting them shine for a year or two and then letting them go, just so the team can "rebuild" with rookies and young, unheard of talent. Yes, that sounds like a general statement, but Cleveland does it constantly with their sports teams.

Plus, LeBron isn't as good as everybody thinks he his. Yes, he is good, but he's not Jordan and he's not a savior. Let him go, use the extra money to buy a whole team worth of talent instead of one unproven and unreliable kid.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there.Sure,he's not Jordan(who is?) but he does and have the ability to carry a whole team on his back, and that's the problem. He has to carry the Cavs for them to really do anything like he did a couple of years ago when they got the finals.

Jordan always had good to serviceable players around him when they won,but the Cavs, who do they have that can shoulder some of the load when LeBron is off?

His best bet for winning a title is to go to a team that has another established star and a decent bench.I don't really know who that could be right now off the top of my head, but I'll tell you what,if he went to the Bulls, depending on who they give to the Cavs, they would be in the conference finals for sure. And I'm not even a Bulls fan.

If you watch a lot of Cavs games, like I do, then you'd see that a lot of the times that the Cavs make their biggest runs, play their best defense and score the most points is when LeBron is sitting on the bench.

:2 cents:

Interesting.Question,How much of that has to do with the other team taking out their top player(s) at or around the same time?

LeBron averages over 40 minutes per game during his career, so he's only out for short periods of time. From what I've seen, the opposing team doesn't sit their starters just because LeBron is out. Usually, they'll sit the person who is guarding LeBron, and that's about it.

Basicly is has to do with which team is deeper and has better bench players. There will a time in the game where all of the 2nd squad of both teams will be going against each other. This is when a team like Cleveland can make a little run because there bench players are better than the opposing teams bench players.

It basically comes down to role/bench players. Most of the championship capable teams have very deep benches and they dont have a huge drop off in protection from first squad and second squad players.

The Chef is correct with this one. LeBrick can't win a championship alone. I think he would join the NY Bricks in a Manhattan minute, but unless the Bricks sign a few other pieces to the puzzle, he won't be any closer to the championship. Although, one could argue he makes so much money and already has the "Jordan heir" label that titles might actually be rendered meaningless for him.

I see him going to Detroit because they could keep enough of their team and bring him in. He's not going to the Western Conference...

LeBron James is having one of his best years ever ...so all ya'll Lebron James haters this is going to be your worst year because he's going to win MVP.

To answer the question about him leaving Cleveland, I don't really think he's leaving if the Cavs keep playing the way they are right now. I mean why would he want to leave to a team thats not going to have much success anyway?

Another possibility is the Nets. He is good friends with Jay-Zed, owner of the Nets. Brooklyn/New York...either way he will get a huge raise from sponsors.

Lebron is in love with NY anyways. He aint going anywhere else.

And to whoever thinks Kobe is going to bounce out of L.A. Your crazy. He has a championship calibre team for the next 4-5 years in L.A. Laker for life. I'd bet Lebrons upcoming contract on it.

Wade will get MVP.

pitino

are you talking to me?
I'd love to see him with Knicks colors!

Wade will get MVP.

I wish that were true, but I dont think the Heat will be in the mix at the end of the season.Wade is my favorite player and the way he's playing this year I think he's the best player in the league.

LeBron is having a great season, on a great team!

i hope he doesnt go to NY
in my opinion...its overrated
especially for someone with the stature of LeBron
he wants to become a larger world image.....well.....its pretty difficult to become bigger than he already is
plus i dont think the colors would look good on him
