Law Firm Fires 14 Employees Over Wearing Orange Shirts

Careful what you wear in Florida!

There and in other so-called “at will” employment states,you can be fired for any legal reason, as 14 employees of the Elizabeth R. Wellborn law firm in Deerfield Beach found out when they wore orange shirts to work on Friday.

Some of the group contend they had established a custom of wearing orange shirts on pay-day Fridays, to promote a feeling of togetherness when they would go out as a group for drinks.

I was thinking recently, which can be kind of dangerous, that lawyers are sort of like "economic roaches". Think about this, if roaches can be the only survivors of a nuclear holocaust, how deadly do you think is an environment where even roaches drop dead? Like roaches and radiation, same thing with lawyers and a bad economy, the economy gets bad, lawyers usually do just fine while everyone else has trouble finding a job. But when you can't find a job, even with a law degree....jijole!! You know the economy is bad when even lawyers are are starting to have trouble finding jobs.

And I apologize to all the roaches that could find this post offensive.

This story makes no sense. If they had been in Northern Ireland and employed by a Republican Catholic I would understand. But once again the Florida tag trumps the common sense tag.

Apparently DMX is the only one with the problem with a certain colour of what one should wear when behind bars if you are gonna live it up in JAIL!!! WTF is up with pink clothing!?
